17:57 why it matched for a when you wanted to match exactly 2?
@eufab5072 ай бұрын
I understan that it happens since it matches all the coincidences. In this case, haha'aa' 'aa' has 2 matches for 'aa', so both pairs are highlighted.

I’m new at all this and don’t have the background to critique but the pronunciation of the letter sounds here with be challenged by the teachers I work with.

The similarity to "Newspeak" is striking. (Double Plus UnGood) I think being multilingual is far more beneficial than reducing communication to its naked bones. A few Esperanto-like languages can be developed for each major group; A Semitic variation, a Sino-Tibetan, etc.

As much as I am impressed by Blissymbolics and what it attempts to do, I must acknowledge its shortcomings in many areas, and I'm glad this video didn't shy away from pointing them out. In many cases, some of those indexed variants are given more descriptive symbols, making them somewhat easier to understand. For example, colors may be indicated by an additional symbol of a thing with that particular color. So "color + sun" = "yellow", and "color + night" = "black". Similarly, animals are often distinguished by size. "horse + small" = "mule". This of course still represents some problems, because there are often much subtler distinctions to be made, which would require a cumbersome number of additional symbols to be added. And ambiguity can arise. If "small horse" is "mule" then how is that different from "donkey"? Or "pony"? I remember seeing "animal + nose + big" = "elephant", because of the elephant's trunk, but it could just as easily designate "anteater". I've been playing around with Blissymbolics for a while, and I've come up with what I consider to be a few improvements in a few areas. No, I haven't solved the color/animal species problem, and I don't expect that I will. But it's still a fun and interesting language to use.

Hello, would you mind posting the full code? I am trying to make it so input is word and it gets written in syllables, do you think your code would be a great concept to start from in order to achieve that?

I wasn't going to comment on this video until I saw negative comments about the "unnecessary" long explanation. I am totally begginer to the Linux command line and this video was just what i need. I loved that you don't skip any information and how you taught how oneself can find this information. Maybe not everyone loves this type of tutorial but i find it very useful and unique. Thanks!!

I loved this video so much! Thanks for posting it. The explanation doesn't really start until about 8:07 however, even the beginning was useful. I'm used to skimming the man pages, but I never knew that you could find information about which data stream(s) a program/command uses.

But I have one question.. I am using VS code to write some programs. So even after adding a new path in PYTHONPATH from my terminal, it does not show up in VS Code.. To fix this I followed the same steps in terminal of VS Code and then it worked. But not sure why PYTHONPATH is different in Mac Terminal and in VS Code Termincal. Do you know about it?
