I’m 81, (same age as the remaining Beatles, and saw them, (and all the other soon to be famous groups), at the Cavern & various clubs around Liverpool & on the Wirral in 1962/3.

I've only seen the Beatles live once, It was at Paya Lebor Airport in Singapore 1964, where they were returning to the UK from their Australia tour and made a refuelling stop in Singapore. The place was buzzing and packed out with screaming fans. Once in a lifetime experience as they came down the steps and waved to the crowd. Shortly after that their first film "A Hard Days Night" was shown at our local Army cinema, packed to the rafters with screaming girls and what a noise ... Beatlemania at it's height !!!

I've always heard that Penny Lane was written by Paul as a response to Strawberry Fields. I'm not sure why that guy said Penny Lane was written first but in a lot of the documentaries I've watched, he seems to praise Paul more than the other three. Either way, both songs are GREAT and still sound awesome to this very day...

Born in 1953, I waited for the next Beatles and here I am in the autumn of my life still waiting. Really lucky to grow up to their music as it changes and so did you. They were more relevant than school.

I've been listening to them since I was 7, but after all these years my favorite Beatles song of all time turns out to be.. Across the Universe. With a simple guitar and a bit of feedback John Lennon creates an entire world of possibilities. Without this song most of his best solo songs like Instant Karma and Imagine might not have been possible. Much as I love McCartney's music it never touches me deeply enough to make me cry.

Most people just weren't ready for this in 1966. I heard it about your age in the 80s it was mesmerising then, still ahead of its time. Great you talked through the lyrics, they are 'far out man' ..love the words. I have neve4 wanted to find out how the sounds were made, I am just happy to listen. Hats of also to George Martin, a straight down the line classically taught musician, what could he have been thinking?😊 all thanks to him to helping the beatles create this masterpiece (in my view).

I cam tell the world right now how lucky I was to be in that scene. My Dad sold souvenirs and we were in NYC in 64-65 I spent the summers in Queens NY, our apartment was a little bit of the fun as we could see. Shea Stadium from our balcony on the 18th floor. My Dad saw his kids going crazy on the Beatles and he got the Beatles souvenirs contract for that gig. YES I WASTHERE.... at 8 years old a memory I will keep in my soul. Thank you for your music!!!! I'm still a big fan. Beatles forever!!!!!!!!!!!

April to june was just about the worst day in my life ...i no longer could look forward to what the Beatles would have to sing about to pattern your life with.. Vietnam became all overpowering to me and i knew nothing was going to save me from it .. i did dodge it with a college deferment till i dropped out .. even though i went to church i did not know God and was scared to death about dying in Nam.. all i knew was i did not have the courage to face it like Dr martin luther king who seemed to know God better than myself ... God decided to save my life and i avoided Nam by draft dodging until i was saved by his sons death on the cross which eluded me somehow even though i believed in God at 7 and went to church faithfully .. Gods son Jesus has died for everyone who want to know God .. God says if you want to know me than believe and repent i am listening for your voice to call upon me.. God promises he will hear you and save you .. God does not lie or he cant be a perfect being.. in your life its all up to you to believe in Jesus's work on the cross before you pass.. use what faith you may have , and remember someone will always have more faith in God than you. Use what you have and that will be enough..

When I was very young at the Girl Scout Jamboree, girls from everywhere came together. We had been taught dance steps & it was amazing to me how that was done! Our song, "I Want To Hold Your Hand" in German!! We all knew the English words to it so it was no different & was so fun! To this day it makes me happy to hear a Beatle song & at my age, to still remember all the words. lol I can't pick a favorite but one little song few seem to remember was about Her Majesty being a pretty nice girl. Any one else remember it & think it was a fun little ditty? I'd hoped it would have been sang here but that's why it's an obscure one.

Lennon really had a disposition against Jesus Christ didn't he. He really kicked against the Goad. Both in his music and his personal life. A narcissist that just could not bring himself to kneel at the cross of Jesus for his salvation. How terribly sad a man dying like that, like so many others, one single breath from eternal Hell, yet salvation could have been one breath away also. Don't follow him down in there, his dark eternal council will live forever in his music, blaspheming Jesus at the Cross as well as the Beatles popularity with their fans in the 1960s and all the record burning events. Lennon was such a self destructive person. Respect for God is the beginning of Wisdom.

I was5yrs old when the Beatles broke up but have been a fan all my life,I wish I could have seen them play that would have been one of the greatest times of my life. But I had a teacher in high school who took a week to play a recording he had saying that Paul had died in a car crash and been replaced and played what was clues proving so written into the songs they recorded and on Friday we all had to write an essay on whether we believed the recording or not and why.

Michael Lindsay HOGG is a LIAR and a fan boy extraordinaire HE DID NOT SUGGEST THE ROOFTOP concert ! While filming the "let it be "doc HOGG tried to manipulate each member of the band to do his bidding by trying to inject himself into the group acting as IF HE was a BEATLE and ONE OF THEM ! He was constantly shut down by them individually and as a whole ! Let it be was what HOGG made it look to be to SELL it ! The BEATLES HATED "Let it be" so much they didn't attend the opening PREMIER of the movie PLUS they blocked it from being released only let go out in limeted release with their SPECIFIC consent ! "GET BACK" was sanctioned by Paul and Ringo ONLY if PETER JACKSON did it with their oversight because in it Peter saw the fun and love in the hours of film that existed ! Hogg was just a wannbe manipulative HOGG who was shut down like the FOOL that HE KEEPS BEING !

Born in 66, so missed them in their prime. Caught up when I was around 16 and getting into music. My friend gave me a copy of John Lennon's Album "Mind Games" as he had a doubler. He showed me his Beatles collection and I was bowled over. I joined music club Brittania and ordered one Beatles Album per calendar month. I just couldn't wait for the next one to pop through my letterbox. A terrific time listening to them through the years and long may we have Ringo and Paul. National treasures for sure.
