To this day , no one or band has ever come close to topping the Beatles . Long live The Beatles.

I get tired of hearing about Paul's optimism. Just shows how thoroughly he has shaped the narrative. I dare anybody find ANYTHING optimistic about these lyrics: Try to see it my way Do I have to keep on talking till I can't go on? While you see it your way Run the risk of knowing that our love may soon be gone Just Paul whining that about not getting his way. And threatening to quit if he doesn't, which, in the end, is JUST WHAT HE DID.

I wasn’t quite 2 when they played Ed Sullivan, so I missed out on the Beatlemania experience I’d have had if I’d been 10 years older. But I did get to hear Hey Jude when it was a brand new song and the DJ called it their “latest magnum opus.” I asked my Mom what a magnum opus was, and she said “Let’s listen to the song.” On my was to first grade in fall, 1968. Every time I’ve heard it since I’m back in Mom’s Buick on the way to school. And just like that day, the Na Na Na Na Na Na ending is stuck in my head the rest of the day at least.

The Beatles revolutionized the complete Rock and Roll music and everything that went along with it Including drugs and hippie movement. Music would never had gone as far as it is today with all the great bands and the musicians that we hear on the radio from the past to now. Thanks to the Fab Four. 👍👌😊

I've only seen the Beatles live once, It was at Paya Lebor Airport in Singapore 1964, where they were returning to the UK from their Australia tour and made a refuelling stop in Singapore. The place was buzzing and packed out with screaming fans. Once in a lifetime experience as they came down the steps and waved to the crowd. Shortly after that their first film "A Hard Days Night" was shown at our local Army cinema, packed to the rafters with screaming girls and what a noise ... Beatlemania at it's height !!!

I've always heard that Penny Lane was written by Paul as a response to Strawberry Fields. I'm not sure why that guy said Penny Lane was written first but in a lot of the documentaries I've watched, he seems to praise Paul more than the other three. Either way, both songs are GREAT and still sound awesome to this very day...

I've been listening to them since I was 7, but after all these years my favorite Beatles song of all time turns out to be.. Across the Universe. With a simple guitar and a bit of feedback John Lennon creates an entire world of possibilities. Without this song most of his best solo songs like Instant Karma and Imagine might not have been possible. Much as I love McCartney's music it never touches me deeply enough to make me cry.
