I just watched a video about all the craziness in the recording of Steely Dan's Gaucho, and them trying to achieve "sonic perfection". Then I watched this and thought how much fun it would have been to be there, and how much fun for them as well. I'll take fun every time.

I love this. It's parallel with something I've realized lately while beginning to go to a lot more smaller venue metal concerts; when you're able to stay after and talk with them you realize that musicians are at the end of the day, just people like you and I. They are simply making an art they love, but some find success and others don't.
