I always thought it was funny how Dances With Wolves portrayed the native people of the 1860's not knowing the intentions of whitemen. The first treaty US with the Souix Nations was like 1825. The great lakes people using fish shouldn't be a suprise. On the west coast fisheries are staple food. The Columbia River people have several legends involving Sturgen, it's a great white flesh like Halibut. "The purpose of the Inquisitions was to wage a war, for the possession, of the souls of the godless heathens"-John Trudell. The 1400's Papal Bulls, (vatican laws) composed the Doctrine's of Discovery, which absolved heinous crimes commited against humanity by divine right, for worldwide expansion of the Christian Cross and Crowns. The Roman-Greeco notion of the right of first occupancy; thereafter, applied only to Christian nations. In 1493, Columbus lied and told the Pope the Indio's were Godless peoples, when in fact, there were more Gods in the "New World" than he could shake a sword at. Great job guys.

Eckert (sp) wrote a whole series of books starting before the french and indian war until the war of 1812. In the one you describe van swearingen at age twelve saw a few shawnee traveling through nearby where he lived. He had a younger brother who stayed with the family but swearingen volunteered, offered himself to go with them and stay with them. He also spoke some shawnee so he mustve been around the shawnee from an early age. He had no problem speaking english when dealing with whites. He wasnt taken. He also wasnt taken during the revolutionary war.

You guys make up alot of bs stories that arent true. Name one single indian slave ever. Just one. Name any single indian woman or child that was killed in ohio. Or name the white person who killed any indian or women or child

The Shawnee started out in Pennsylvania. They were pushed out by the iroquois. That land was given the the delawre, the lenni lenape, as they were getting pushed away from the coast by the colonists. Later the iroquois banished the delaware to the west for giving away land to the whites. The walking treaty.

The indians preferred dealing with the french over the english. Teir werent as many french and so the french didnt build forts out of the trading posts. After the seven years war many of the indians of different nations supported the british because they saw the english as the father and the colonists as the children.

The ohio goes east west. How can the shawnee be west of the ohio river. They lived north of it in Ohio.

In the book Kamiakin the author talks about a tribe of native American he ran into in the mountains who had blue eyes and blond hair. He said he could never find out who they were. It would be great if you could share any knowledge of the tribe?!

I was living in cannonsburg PA, on the side of a mountain sorta. I'm from Texas and most hills looked mountainous. Me and a friend would walk the trails with shotguns and shoot birds mostly. Once I came upon a man in full real tree cameo with a crossbow. I felt his stare was all. We sat there in that moment fingers resting on our weapons. Then we nodded to each other and continued on. You are correct about not seeing someone till it's too late up there.

Loving this read Robert. I find it to be closer to truth than what we are given. Round, flat, triangle, square or just a wave we are all riding on, the truth is out there somewhere. The truth is this plane is lots bigger and there is so much more here and we are kept from it. Love this topic Robert. Much love light and so much favor to you, Love Sister Shelly

Guys let me just tell you I've literally learned how to connect raining and drumming at an ancient mound ... Same place also had the ground shake while drumming other times, heard a portal open there with a frequency band come out, and heard drumming come out of the woods another time after humming to the mound and it humming back.. some top tier experiences from there

This is NOT legitimate indigenous knowledge. You are confusing meditation with prayer, ceremony with fundamentalist beliefs and diverse cultures as one culture, something non natives consistently do. Just because Germans and the French share a continent doesn’t make them the same people. Non natives grab the first self proclaimed “Injun”, with little to no credibility in the indigenous community as representative of ALL knowledge or experience when people like this weren’t raised by indigenous grandparents. The purest education in the culture of indigenous peoples is to be raised by medicine people or elders, not books or buying into the culture with money or influence.
