Sorry if I post too many comments but…the lake I fish in is made up of a lot of severe depth changes in the depths the fish seem to be. There are places where the water is 30’ deep 15’ from the bank. A lot of places, the depth will be 5’ different from the bow of my 19’ boat to the stern. Most of the flats are 30’+ and have never produced a bite. Is there some way planer boards can be used in varying depths? I try to maintain a general depth but it can change so fast that a gust of wind will push me into a significantly different depth till I can recover from it.

I’ve got high hopes for your podcast. I drift and drag for catfish nearly every weekday and STILL can’t really pinpoint them. Two weeks ago, I caught an 8lb blue in 4.1’ of water. The next day, a 7lb blue in 8.6’ of water. Two days later, I caught an 8, a 7, two 5s, two 4s, and a few more between 2 and 3.5lbs. I caught these in 25’ of water. WTH? I fish a small (9,000 acre) Texas lake and still can’t find anything over 10lbs. I exclusively use big chunks of fresh cut shad. A 6” shad will make 2 good baits. The lake is so full of little yellow bass and small catfish that you have to use something they can’t get off

Hey, thanks! I use a Z-cam E2C cinema camera and a GoPro Hero 11. The cinema camera shoots with old 1970s Canon FD lenses in 24mm, 50mm, 50mm macro 135mm focal lengths. I also run Tiffen neutral density filters, black satin #1 filter to cut the sunlight and the to add a little grit to the highlights as they say. The GoPro has a polarizing/ND filter. Everything is shot flat and color graded in post product to get a vintage look. Also, I compose the music on an AE Modular synthesizer.

@@BlackWarriorLures yes sir! I liked finding the cut bank of a main river. For the tide and current there I'd use 6oz egg sinkers 8/0 circle hooks( I was after the big boys) and generally fish a depth at least 10 to 25ft deep. Live bream if I had enough for bait. Or I'd keep them alive till I got on the water then cut up what I needed. Seemed to have better catch rate on Flathead catfish. Which was my target species. Maybe if you wanna try it that may help!
