after watching countless mixing tutorials how to make my sound louder, bigger and fatter.. i come back to this, and remind myself that its not what good music is about..

An amazing MPM Soundtracks song, and a photo of guys doing their things on Daytona Beach! Spent many summers down there. Great combo of music and photography. Thanks!

Wow, that’s really dialed in on the community down there if you can recognize where that is from just this photo! Really, I find that cool when locals can spot their stomping grounds with a sense of pride is all, wherever it might be. Im not Floridian, but grateful to have been able to enjoy some wonderful vacations in the Sunshine State as both a child with family, and as an adult during TDYs in the Air Force. I’ll never forget how magical the offset purple sunsets were in PCB, ripping it up on the Skim Board after a few beers. GOOD times.

This stuff never gets old. You just keep coming back to it. It’s always there even after you get bored with it, there’s always something fresh about it that will never go away…it’s familiar, yet new…nostalgic for what I myself never experienced within the era, being born in ‘97. Long live 80’s💫

This is why I love MPM - his songs are just the right amount of synth - they take the 80s sound and add a little magic to it, instead of bastardizing it with some over-the-top sounds. Listening to these are like actually being transported to the 80s mentally.

really wish MPM would put his stuff on bandcamp, but he walked away from that identity of himself.. I know what it's like to lose yourself

i wouldn't want to be famous if i were a musician.. loooong before synthwave back in 1988-1992 i listened then to industrial, goth and techno/trance/house/rave.. and i always marveled at the fact that most of those genres...the people making that music..they can go to the grocery store and not be spotted.. but if you're Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Justin Timberlake, Madonna, then forget it!! my privacy isn't worth billions of dollars lol
