To your point about buying a 225 & 325 instead of a single 525... The 525 is literally both those amps fitted into single chassis. There are TWO power supplies in the 525 so, really, the only selling points for the separate amps would be heat management and all that power coming from the wall out of separate mains cords. If you routinely draw 15 amps of current, that single power cord will still have a margin of capacity that you will never realize. However, if you do find yourself using these amps so hard that an egg can be cooked off them, you might want to think about monoblocks sitting in their own corner of the room. These are good amps, don't punish them.

I seem to be one of the few people who tends to experience technical issues when it comes to connecting electronics, particularly soundbar. I purchased this soundbar the other day, followed the instructions....and the remote doesn't work. Initially, I thought it was a battery issue but this remote came with a new battery. I replaced the battery ...and it's still does not work. As for the subwoofer, all i had to do was plug the power cable, but all I saw was a green light and no sound came out of this. I did noticed a "set up" button next to the power button behind the unit. Perhaps, I needed my "defective" remote control to connect to the subwoofer. I was very excited and hopeful with this model when I purchased it....but alas and as usual, technical issues arise once again.

It really doesn’t make sense considering your just moving the one to two connection to the amp and not at the speaker. Tell me how moving that connection creates a dedicated circuit. The A and B seams to me to be dedicated because of the separation in the amp. I don’t understand if you turn A or B off what that causes. Please explain.
@TLPCHC11 күн бұрын
An amplifier with A & B speakers is splitting the single stereo output to two sets of binding posts. I recommend you use " A " speaker output only as it avoids the potential of inadvertently having one set off, when you expect them both to be on.

How would this avr sound with the Jamo HCS s807's please?
@TLPCHC13 күн бұрын
This AVR is very old now, so consider a modern replacement like the RX-A2a or RX-A4a. Certainly the Yamaha's sound amazing and better than so many other options. Personally, I don't gel with the Jamo sound, so I am not the best to ask. But at least the Yamaha will be a superb AVR to drive them.

World is such an amazing and fascinatic place when you have zero understanding of how things work. Ethernet is already isolated, on both sides for that matter. This dumb box takes PHY, sends it to a transceiver, converts it to optical then to transceiver which again converts it to PHY.

When music is playing you can chose to either have the cover + meta showing such as the song title, or you can chose to only have the cover or the title showing. And lastly you can chose to have the clock showing. Once you pause your music it goes straight to the clock view, and when you resume playback the cover or whatever you set it to comes back. When nothing is playing the box goes into standby mode after some time, in standby mode you can chose to have one of the 3 clock view modes showing or you can chose to have the screen turned off with nothing showing. So the display can only be fully turned off when it's in standby mode. If you dont like to have the screen on during play back your best option is to set it to the clock view and then turn down the screen brightness as low as possible.
