I'm coming to Iqaluit with my sister and cousin October 12-14. I'm super excited to see as much as possible. My dream is to go again in the future and take the plane from Nunavut to Greenland now that it's an option!

Have you had a travel or living experience you are grateful for? Living in Iqaluit, Nunavut helped me in so many ways - in this video, I talk about how it helped me to live with less. While there is plenty in town to explore, compared to a southern city, there are fewer stores, no malls and no where to go after you reach the edge of town. However, for me it really helped me to live in the moment and be grateful for what I have.

Sad news - my hard drive broke and I must send it in for data recovery if I can raise the money - more on that when I get the quote. I've been unemployed for over a year and cannot afford it myself. There are over 5 months of videos on my hard drive - and yes I didn't have a good back up. Until then, I will be re-purposing videos and trying to mix it up a bit. Do you like the talking tour? Let me know below if you would support a gofundme - if 200 people give $5, I can likely get the data back. If not, then I will eventually be pivoting the channel - will still be Indigenous focused! Hard liquor can be purchased with a permit and comes via cargo; you have to hire a shopper in Ottawa or Montreal. Or drink your gin and tonics, or whisky, at the bar. Beer and Wine store sells beer, wine, coolers (with liquor but only 5% usually) and cider. The limit at the store is 24 beers/coolers or 4 bottles of wine per day. Yes, it's a bit more expensive. www.nunacannabis.com

When you live in a remote area, it is best to invite ALL of your guests in hahaha unless it's a polar bear, of course! Yes, I was wigged out for a while watching the kids playing under there.. I could literally feel the spider webs all over me - in my mind! SE US has big water bugs that look like cockroaches if I remember correctly and you crunch them under your feet when you walk. GROSS. . . I have a video on bumble bees coming up soonish. Grateful for your comment and attention! <3

Come with me as I drive from the Iqaluit International Airport to the Beer & Wine store where we can purchase beer, wine, cider and coolers. There is no hard alcohol for sale in town, except if you go to a bar for a gin & tonic, which is so tasty when you haven't had one in a long time. To order bottles of hard liquor, that you must get a permit, and order it to be delivered through cargo.

Amazing question, @ameshaspenta3743! The entire city rotates around the work day because many people have kids in daycare. So there is traffic at 8am, 12 and 5 pm. Getting out of the area with office buildings requires going through the 4-way stop downtown.
