Just like it was for Jennings from SMU last week, the first minutes will likely look good for Jeanty from the Broncos; however, it will then quickly and progressively turn into a nightmare for Jeanty the rest of the game, just like it was for Jennings. Jeanty will face an elite and game-hardened PSU defense! Boise State has honestly no chance in beating PSU, this is College Football, this is not a college Basketball game; underdogs upsets are less likely. This will likely not even be a competitive game. Coach Franklin might end up playing the bench at the beginning of the 4th Quarter, just as he did against SMU, it was only then that SMU finally could put a Touchdown on the board, otherwise they would have left Happy Valley with a meager field goal only.

I ❤ my lions but after watching Texas and Ohio State play yesterday I have to bitch about PSU not quite being at that level. Ohio State looked like a well oiled machine. Our offense looked overwhelmed for most of the game. Allar holding the ball because our WRs suck. O line getting blown up numerous times. Did u see our left tackle get run over? We just can’t seem to be a consistent team playing complimentary football. Slow starts. Communication issues…I just didn’t see that with Texas and Ohio State. Going for it on fourth down on your 20 yard line when you are up on a team that is struggling to move the football is not being aggressive, that is being stupid. Franklin basically gave SMU 3 points, but was luckily bailed out by Deluca.

They're not good, what's not to get? We don't have one single top 10 or 20 WR. If we did this would be a hard team to beat. It our big weakness
@Chris-uw3wz7 күн бұрын
Oh I get it completely. I'll explain. So outside of Trey Wallace, there is not a single wide receiver in the room that is good enough to be in the rotation on a P4 conference team. That may sound harsh, but that is the reality if you follow CFB closelt. A bit of backgound: When Parker Washington surprised by going to the draft early after the 2022-2023 season , our options were KLS and an emerging Trey Wallace (who was plagued by injuries but had big time athletic potential). KLS left because of internal strife with the coaching staff and had a great year at Auburn. We bring in former 5 star Julian Fleming who PSU fought OSU to the death with in recruiting. So now the receiver room looks like this: - Trey Wallace: Elite athleticism for his height. Belongs on a top tier team at WR. Hasn't showed the finer skills like route running and yards after catch. Avereage at separating. So he is probably best as a #2 but we don't have that luxury - Liam Clifford: Definition of all the sterotypes you hear of white WRs. Dependable, works hard, runs good routes in the slot, blocks hard etc. But let's be honest... low ceiling for WR ahleticism sahring a gene pool Sean Clifford. - Omari Evans: Also has good enough athleticism to play at this level, but it's pretty obvious his game is limited to go routes which isnt effective. It's very easy to defend beacuse you know he only has 1 skill - Julian Fleming: Despite being a top 32 recruit in the country at any position, he never broke out above #3 on the OSU WR depth chart. He doesnt have the size, athleticism, or special traits to make a difference. - Kaden Suanders: Another 5 star but PSU won that battle. Turns out he is nowhere near athletic enough to be a 5 star recruit. Chuck Losey said he showed up to PSU with way too big % of body fat for an elite athlete so they spent his first 2 years working on that. - Tyseer Denmark: Sleeper freshman that couldnt get on the field because his grades stink (has been an issue since high scool) and they wanted to save his redshirt. Watch the all 22 if you dont believe me. So that being said, Trey is the only one athletic enough to separate against elite competition, and that really isn't his forte to begin with. Kyron Hudson from the portal is an elite add for next year (better than Cephas and Fleming by miles). We still need 2+ more guys that can play immediately in the rotation next year or else the team offense will still look horrible. The new WR coach hagans hasn't sparked any signifcant decelopment in the room. He has 1 more years to proce it.

@@Chris-uw3wz great "PSU WRs for dummies" breakdown! It really is a shame they dont have a Dotson, Hamler, Godwin type this year. Penn State’s defense was confused at the line far too many times. It seems like the secondary have a tough time communicating. They really need to clean that up. SMU’s QB was definitely elusive, the D line was chasing him all over, but ultimately he was throwing it to the defense. The offense looked really bad in person. I was shocked by how bad they looked. There’s a LOT of room for improvement there.

Let’s not forget the defense only gave up 14 in the 2nd half vs Oregon and got the ball back to the offense with a chance to tie.
