I just got these bindings and CANNOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO RELEASE MY FOOT OUT!! do I have to push down both sides to release foot? how do yall do that while standing up? plzzz show me
@SethWild
@SethWild 6 күн бұрын
Basically same way as I push the releases in the video, except I will generally push down both sides at once when I release my back foot out. If it's too hard while standing up then just go to your knees it will be easier to reach both sides. I used to only press one release and sort of yank my boot out BUT that will cause excessive wear on the boot slots which will lead to them popping out too easy (e.g. when riding, don't want that!). Hope that helps

You forgot the most important part, that engine size put it on full or 1/3 way and show ,uh much gas you used over what time. Anything gives us some idea . 1/4 tank over night or more?

Gotta love your enthusiasm. But think, man. Amazes me how dumb ideas spread like wildfire. This reflective insulation works (to the extent that it does) by REFLECTING radiant heat (read infrared), and covering it with anything counters, or nullifies it's effect. Worst thing you can do is paint it black. Radiators are painted black to promote heat transfer. Google black body physics. About the plywood splitting issue -- everybody and their cousin is ramming screws into the edge of plywood panels these days. Come on guys, never heard of pilot holes? It's not the thickness of the ply that's the problem. The more you funnel that enthusiasm into sorting out the relevant details, the better will be the results. Ever heard of glue and screw ?? .......

I have been thinking about doing something similar with our 1st gen Tundra. Portable AC units are either cheap and ineffective or expensive and too big… cool to see how you solved the problem. ALSO! Love the bike tube idea!!! I’m definitely going to use that!!!

Also have a 2000 (gen. 1) Tundra, bought new. And with fully charged A/C, working perfectly per mechanic, it prefers to be in recirculating mode for the A/C to function effortlessly on really hot days. Not going to work well with this set up. That said, I would never risk abusing the truck by leaving it idling for hours on end in sun and super hot temps. No air flow through the radiator except by powered fan. It is not a diesel, which accepts such treatment. Do presently use that inner tube method to create the seal (works great), have placed a DC powered fan in the rectangular front to back passage running off a power station, and have installed vent shades up front to allow cracking open the front windows a bit for fresh air to pull in from the cab and flow through out from the back. This air flow has worked pretty well to keep the back from roasting in full sun. Also would not trust constant emissions right below the bed while inside a closed space immediately above. Fan a bit less effective but a whole lot safer.

Tell me more about ur air conditioning set up. Is it with the car running?
@SethWild
@SethWild 10 ай бұрын
It is, it’s just the truck AC vents piped into the shell. I’ve still yet to get a remote start so I can control on and off from in the shell though, so I have to get out and run it manually. I have a video on how I Jerry rigged it.

Question. Does this secure the lift gate
@SethWild
@SethWild 10 ай бұрын
In my case I lock the lift gate and then I close the shell window so the gate isn’t a problem!

Incredible. I had been looking at vans but my neighbor had to downsize because his insurance went up 3x. So now I got a 2002 Nissan Frontier manual, 4 cylinder, 5 speed, 6 ft bed with a camper shell with sliding windows towards the cabin 100320 k for 2600.00. So now its about truck camping!! Thank u

If you could hook it around the actual lock barrel, not the lever, it’d be more secure.

For Wi-Fi I use a Cudy 4g mobile router. If there’s any cellular service at all it magnifies it. It’s NOT the same as a “hotspot” works a hundred times better. I got it off Amazon. Used sims cards from an older iPad. Paired right up. Now I have fast Wi-Fi to run everything on. Including the ipad I took the active sims card from. And it’s cheap. But, if there is zero cellular service it’s doesn’t work.

This will actually work perfectly for me. I have a 2004 tundra and I’ve found a way to secure the gate but not the camper shell window. My slight modification will just be to use some paracord in place of a chain. That way I can get a more flexible and less rattly connection that’s easier to take off. Definitely stealing your idea. Thank you!
