The best P4P fighters in recent times (since 2016), in no particular order are: - Canelo - Bud Crawford - Inoue - Loma - Maybe Donair ( deserves consideration based on fight 1 against Inoue as a late 30s man ? ) ? F the fat and slow slobs in the higher weight classes. IMHO, had Loma gone pro 6-8 years earlier and spent his whole prime as a pro as he should have if he was solely $ oriented ... he would be the clear #1 P4P of this generation. Those first 7-10 pro fights by Loma b4 he turned 32 are simply amazing viewing. As a former boxer, it's truly a man playing with children. So many skills on display there in parallel. A totally different style and level of boxing.

@@RingKingsPodcast is Error really that high level? Error was arguably one of Terrace’s easiest fights. He’s basic like GGG. As much as his fans criticize GGG for being basic, Error and GGG have similar styles. I really didn’t expect him to do well against Crawford and we all saw what happened when hype met reality. I go back and fourths between Inoue and Crawford being 1st or 2nd.

Yes Errol is that good. Sometimes fighters have bad nights. GGG is also another great fighter, so comparing Spence to him is not a diss.

@@RingKingsPodcast not meant to be a diss. I’m a GGG fan as well. But their style is limited and relies heavily on his power and granite chin. They are not as well rounded as Crawford and Inoue. Brook was beating Spence before his eye gave in. Brook never had a chance with Crawford. I don’t think Spence was a good s as people made him out to be.
@RingKingsPodcast
@RingKingsPodcast 4 ай бұрын
@@CharlesLe-thephotographer Spence and GGG are not the same fighter. Spence can do a lot more than just go forward and exchange shots. Also, Spence fought a better version of Kell Brook, as well as Danny Garcia, Mikey Garcia, Yordenis Ugas, Shawn Porter, etc. Let's not downplay how good of a fighter he is. Inoue hasn't beaten a fighter that's on Spence's level. And that's okay, he's still great.

It could still happen.. AJ even spoke him up after his fight. I guess he was saying "woah don't tarnish him too much... he just had a bad night, and I am fighting him next!". Heh, covering his bases. Fact is... I can't see Wilder beating AJ now. AJ is a lot better than Parker, he is much more dangerous. Wilder will always have a punchers chance, but AJ will do with Parker did and not let him land that one shot. Wilder is too vulnerable, AJ will pick him off too easily.

The reason why Fulton lost is because Inouye is the better boxer… in every phase of the game. Speed, power, accuracy, timing, placement, footwork, ring IQ. Inouye makes champions look like chumps, including the great Nonito Donaire in their second fight. Donaire said of the punch that ended their fight that it he did not even see it and that it was the hardest he’d ever been hit. 20 of Inouye’s 25 fights have been championship fights and he is 20-0 in those fights with 18 knockouts. His last 17 fights have been championship fights. He is a four-division champion and is one fight away from becoming the second two-division undisputed champion. And he is only now reaching his prime as a boxer. Shalom

With the Haney Shakur situation, the sanctioning body dictated a 50/50 split. It's not standard practice for a sanctioning body to demand splits for a fight. Haney’s team had to walk away because they were putting up most of the money to fight Shakur, who fights next Thursday and can't sell tickets. Who fights on a Thursday??? Haney team is setting up the PPV, selling a majority of the tickets, and licensing the fight in multiple territories. This is why Shakur gets flat rates because he doesn't understand the business side.

The fight was NOT early in the AM, it started around 8PM. There is nothing that "needs to be done" about the fights in Japan. Why should anyone care if Americans are inconvenienced by the fight time? If there was actual interest in the fights at the lower weights then the wouldn't be made outside the US. The money is in Japan not the US so deal with the time schedules. Fulton deserves credit for fighting Inoue but NOT for going to Japan. No one ahs given any credit to Inoue for any of his 3 fights in the US nor his fight in the UK. Fulton shit himself with all his talk before the fight because he was drinking his own Kool-Aid. All his talk about there is NOTHING Inoue could do that he hasn't seen as a Philly fighter and he was ready for ANYTHING that Inoue will try. EMBARRASSED! Before the fight, I thought it will go the distance (possibly Fulton win) or Inoue will stop Fulton very late. After Fulton's trainer complaints about Inoue's wraps, I knew Fulton could be stopped mid fight. Rahim showed me he was expecting Fulton to get touched despite Fulton being slick and a defensive master with all that Philly exceptionalism.

Please say Haney...let's see how soon you see him fight outside the US again. And I suppose that depends on what "households" you are saying he should be striving for. I'm guessing that Inoue's team including his team spent hundreds of hours going through Fulton's tapes, and hundreds more figuring out and practicing tactics to destroy him. Somehow Fulton's coach didn't seem to be the studying kind, and Fulton himself with his absurd over-confidence probably didn't match Inoue's practice intensity.
@clubeyxander5132
@clubeyxander5132 9 ай бұрын
Inoue and his team is not widely known to excessively study videos of their opponents. Inoue clearly said he's seen only one video of Fulton and not even all of it. Inoue concentrates more on his faults, and how to better his present abilities rather than finding holes in his opponents. His team probably did more research than Inoue, though. In any case, Inoue and his team puts a lot a hours into the basics, repeating his routines, refining his best moves. Inoue has always said that adjusting to the opponent is not a good strategy because the opponent is going to fight yourself in the ring, not the guy in the video. If the opponent adjusts to Inoue by analyzing his videos, all he has to do is to do the things he did in the past better, says Inoue. He has also said that, though he will have an initial game plan, most of the strategy is drawn up in the ring after facing the opponent. He says he tries several things in the ring and shifts from plan to plan according to how the opponent responds and how the bout is going.

At the weigh-in, Inoue showed a kind of smoking rage on his face, very unusual for him. It seemed he was saying, I'm coming for you! All that nonsense seemed to have steamed him.
@clubeyxander5132
@clubeyxander5132 9 ай бұрын
Actually, in the weigh-in, when Fulton's trainer accused Inoue of illegally stacking his tapes, the translator didn't translate the words right, so Inoue didn't understand what they were saying. But over night he found out they had accused him of cheating, and that really pissed him off. This was the first time he openly addressed his anger in public before a match and shows such a typical stare down (he's never done that) . Jamie McDonnell also pissed Inoue off by being a hour late for the weigh-in and not apologizing but rather saying the delay was nothing. He later stated his dislike for such disrespect after the fight. When he fought Manny Rodriguez, Inoue's father was shoved off by Rodriguez's trainer in a training session, but when he was asked how he felt about the incident before the fight, he replied that his job was to show it in the ring, not outside of it. So, I guess Fulton's team did a real good job pissing him off, of course, to no avail. If anything, his past bouts with McDonnell and Rodriguez have shown that Inoue gets extra mean and brutal without losing his head when he's provoked and pissed off. The fight with Fulton was no different.
