I feel like they should scrap that stupidly placed rear gatling and take a page out of the javelin and put 2 size 4 gatlings on top of each turret as a secondary weapon for the gunners.

Due to the old design of this ship, CIG will have a high chance to change things around the ship like adding point defense turrets or more effective turret placement and weapon choice for the turrets in the future.

Of course players can do that. But at least currently players don't need or want to do, as most of them want fly their own ship to the location instead of stucking on the same ship.

I was given a free Legionnaire that's tied to my account now, so I'm just hoping that the gameplay for it turns out to be enjoyable and not an impractical mess ;_; At the very least, it should make for an okay dropship.

I got a similar idea during the IAE (or Invictus) when I talked about this ship...but I wanted to make this video short and more informative instead of sharing too many of my personal thought, I just cut it at the end.

Greetings fellow citizen, do you not know you can use auto-dock when docking ships? This feature will make docking with Legionarie mostly painless.

I tried auto docking in Star Citizen and yes it will give players easier time to dock. However, it still take a long time to dock. The Legionnaire is design to dock during combat, it will be bad if the ship exposed to enemy fire for that long. Secondly, the ships (or stations) that players docking with nowadays are cooperative, they will be stationary when players are docking. The Legionnaire will need to dock with many hostile ships that are not fully disabled, the current auto docking mechanism may not work in this situation.

I agree that the docking process is "less than ideal". I think CIG is going to compensate with the hacking aspect, being able to override remote turrets or targeting system along with the target's docking system. Too much speculation, I guess we'll just have to wait for the ship's release and see what they do.

Thanks for the video. I'm looking forward to this ship, I think there's potential with it for certain types of scripted solo/small group missions and I think it would be fine as a small drop ship too.

Don't you think we have enough ships yet? Shouldn't they first finish the ships they have first? Personally I'd rather see some new content like interesting missions, new locations and gameplay improvement over new ships.

What a joke!!! Enemies A.I. are literally a joke. They do not attack the player after looking at the player. Doom 4 2016 and Doom Eternal and HALO master chief franchise have better enemies than this shit. 😂 Enemies A.I do not react and they're toooo easy to snipe them from afar. I know everyone plays Star Citizen just for spaceship combat cause FPS combat is literally dogshit/horseshit. I'm hoping C.I.G. makes a great FPS combat when I saw the new SC 2023 trailer.

i like your thought process, i guess my only piece of advice is this, Economy is something you have to consider when operating ships, even if you have a full player crew, you have to worry about fuel, ammo, as well as stocking up on things like spare parts, food, water, other necessities to sustain a full crew when the game comes out. while a javelin my scare people, its not economically viable in every case! id love to discuss tatics with you more, if your intrested! also, keep up the work on your english! better with every vid!

I would regard this as a particularly unfair and unnecessary comment. I’m a native English speaker and I would deem his English to be excellent and conveyed with clarity. There’s an unmistakable Asian influence on his accent, but it in no way detracted from my ability to understand what he was saying, indeed I’d go so far as to say his command of English is better than a lot of native English speakers I’ve met. To the poster of this great video I’d like to say a sincere thank you for this excellent essay and please ignore ignorant comments from the likes of this poster, you did a great job and you don’t need to improve anything, just keep this terrific content coming and thank you for your efforts.

Polaris will have a Capital Shield Generator, that was confirmed a while ago by CIG. (Radar, Power-Plant and Cooler are also capital sized)

The Hammerhead does not have 3 size 3 shield generators. It has 2. The Persus also has far thicker armor than the hammerhead.

Even though it doesn't exist in game, I can see a drop ship also being a airborne delivery platform. The camera would be so the pilot can make sure the compartment is clear of troops before stowing the ramp and flying away, or banking away.

If you place turrets you need to rotate them to face forward. Otherwise they wont fire in the front arc of your ship.

If you have the spare ~140,000 credits you can pick up a War Horse in Akila City with a very powerful reactor to use as a good base. It might be level dependent, but mine came with 28 available power. I can max out engines, 5 repeating lasers, two EM blasters, and the shields all at the same time. It's a great setup for disabling other ships. Blast the crap out of the shields with the lasers, switch to targeting mode, then use the EM weapons on the engines so you can board it.

The shipbuilding in this game is far more intricate than I expected. Hope to see something like this for hideout building someday in Star Citizen.

I think the outpost building in Star Citizen will be much complicated than in Starfield's, as there are a lot of detail components such as air supply may apply to the outposts. But anyway, outpost building in Starfield right now is very amazing for me.
