Thanks for the help mate, I've got that exact reel and it stumped the hell out of me lol. I've got a number of Marquis and even a little Uniqua 3 3/4 but this Perfect I actually aquired from auction last week doesn't look 3 bad now it's apart. Hello John, when you mentioned W Scrimegour’s fishing tackle shop in Falkirk I like you used to go in and get my hooks floats and maggots as a boy over 50 years ago, my first ever fly rod was a greenheart cane which I used for years until i broke the top section. Sad how people have made this a rich sport. When fishing was everyday life a hundred years ago. I’d imagine you would never use most of the vintage gear you have or the people who buy from you as the manufacturer intended them to be used. Collectors are the reason i will buy vintage gear and purposely get them dirty and used and they should be. Same as people who let classic cars just sit for eye candy. It’s a disgusting thing greed has on people. It’s one thing to be a good steward of your things and another to let them sit on a display which is outright distasteful.
