A brilliant powerful song soundtrack from the okay PROTECTORS TV series of the soulful 70s. that holds it's own to ANY James Bond theme, in fact Tony Christie could have sung the theme to a Bond film to the same quality as anyone else that has.

I can't tell you how much I've loved this song since I used to watch The Protectors on New York City's CBS as a kid in the mid-70s. The show is okay and often the closing theme song, Avenues and Alleyways was often the best part of it. Years later with the help of the internet I was finally able to track down the song and the singer that I'd had in my head for decades. Long live The Protectors and Tony Christi!

Heard this song a million times but only noticed that's it's different at the end, compared with the theme tune. Tony pauses here before 'Some of us are gonna try!' But goes straight through in the theme tune.
