This is not smart most mobile home roofs are made out of nothing that’s just adding extra weight for the roof tk sag in the future. On top on that if you ever replace sheet rock r roof panels you will have a huge mess

This video is eleven years old, but just as timely as when it was produced! Now with the attention and incentives from the recently-passed IRA, understanding these systems interactions is more important than ever. Thanks to the Nat'l Assoc for State Community Services!

Lemme fix this for you. And then grandma filed for bankruptcy due to all the costs associated with Big Mike's bill, costs she can't afford on her fixed income, her home was auctioned off and she lived in Red's attic, which has all the same problems her old home did, plus stairs that are getting too hard to climb. So Red puts Grandma in a nursing home, where she dies alone and sad of chronic lung disease caused by all that mold exposure. All because she foolishly trusted Big Mike and decided to weatherize her home. And Red, as her estate's executrix, sues Big Mike for wrongful death, wins and Big Mike goes bankrupt too. Big Mike now lives on the street and is addicted to hard drugs, which he is fortunate enough to afford because he isn't just called Big Mike because he's fat. And that, children, is why you should never weatherize you home. The End.

Absolute WORST thing you can do. This application blocks off all air flow and will create moister issues down the road. Not to mention adding more weight to a 2 by 2 truss and panel ceiling. Fuking hacks that have no clue what they are doing. They have the "I've got an insulation machine, and material" so blow it everywhere mantality.

John Johnson needs to be fired all that BS that just came out of his mouth doesn't mean anything I've been on the program for over 2 years over 25 visits to my house and nothing has been done they was supposed to come today and nobody showed up if you don't believe me, you call me Mr Johnson. if you think I'm playing, if you think this is a joke I'm about to put my home phone number on here on social media, something I don't want to do. How long it takes your ass to call me, so I can take my number down. 419-315-4798

Why not make sure that you are truly saved by Jesus Christ and practice this way. Remorsefully confess with your heart your sins to Jesus Christ who is God and tell Him that you right now are repenting of your sins and you want to be born again of the Spirit from above. Tell Jesus that you are remorsefully sorry for breaking His commandments and that you are begging for forgiveness from Him. Allow His blood from the cross to wash away your sins. After this is done with your heart successfully the Holy Spirit will come to live within you and He will rebuild you from the inside out. Look for signs that you are saved. Things like spreading the good news from Jesus, getting other people saved, a craving for the word of God, reading the Bible, etc… These things are known as a calling and fruit bearing. If you're not bearing fruit then keep doing it. Sometimes it takes time to get saved. Read Matthew chapter 13 from the King James Bible. God bless!!!

By wrapping the water heater, you just now prevented a lot of the condensation from escaping, causing extra moisture build up on the exterior sheet metal of the tank, causing it to rust faster! Good job! LOL

20 air changes per hour????? That's horrible. And he's recommending bringing it down to 10 per hour???? That's horrible too. ASHRAE 62.2 standard suggests no more than 8.4 air changes PER DAY!!! Thats about .35 per hour. Who is this clown and where is he getting his information????

I paid to have my attic sealed. I already had insulation up there (blown-in) and they had to pull it back. How can I know that they did a good sealing job?
@joshuadavid22596 жыл бұрын
When they did the job they should have ran a blower door test before and after wich gives you a starting # of how leaky or tight your house is, so after they are done your number should have went down generally 20 to 30% depending on how tight your house was to start with

@Andykay58 take a look at heating the floors with radiant heat (not electric radiant but water/hydronics). once you try it, you won't want any other kind of heat.

This inspection is standard for the Weatherization Assistance Program, which is a low income program. If you qualify, your mobile home would have that type of inspection. If you don't qualify, there are for-profit outfits that will perform the same type of inspection for you
@Rinconmaniac15 жыл бұрын
Actually you do a CO2 test in the flue as well as oxygen. These 2 figures give you an operating efficiency. You would also test for CO in the flue to ensure it does not exceed 50 ppm. You would then do a final test of CO in the air, generally at the plenum and then at a few different locations through out the house. This is all old school stuff though and generally speaking if the furnace is 25 years or older it should be replaced as that is the life of a furnace.
@kerryoke6815 жыл бұрын
this is great to know. Can you hire someone to do that to your mobile home or is that a standard inspection?

Get a 200$ Nightvision mod for any digital or film camera. Then change the visible spectrum for the camera using a transparent colored slip. I do not know the exact color of the strip, but I can use it t change the spectrum. Only works on cameras that can see the beams from things such as laser keyboards, and tv remotes.

What a waste of money... best way to insulate a Older roof is to use 2" thick 4x8 sheets of stryrofoam with 2x4 framing with new white refelective aluminum rolls..... the way u guys do it wont allow u to fill every cavity that will give you Complete coverage.
