Im really glad more white drunken republican stepdads are getting into punk. Anyone anti-change or afraid of change is FUNDAMENTALLY not punk, they just found a genre of music without understanding what it's about. "Punk's Dead" is an ironic statement, not a literal one. Always has been; always will be. There's punks and there's genre lovers. Punk is anti genre lovers. Punk is pro change. Punk is anti conservatitional. It exists to represent an anarchy of sorts to break the mould, the normal, the traditional. I love this song's callout on scenesters while highliting true to punk roots.
