I just noticed that I was playing four copies of 7 Colored Fish. I turned the deck limits off for testing purposes, but I guess I never turned it back on, and being split between two rows made me not notice them. It only took two episodes for the cheating to start, even with the scripts keeping us from messing up card effects. Realistically, it probably didn't matter much though. I probably would have just tossed in a Tripwire Beast to basically be an Upstart instead. I'm watching for that Mask of Darkness now.

I say "um" so many times. I need to put a stop to that tic before it drives me mad. Your pulls are so much better than mine It's amazing that I somehow managed to almost take the match anyway. I was wondering if I might have been able to take the second game if I had played less aggressively and saved the Mystical Elf, but now I see that you had a second Meda Bat in hand. I was never taking that one. It's amazing how this is simultaneously so similar and so different from standard LOB prog gameplay. Enough of the effects are irrelevant that a lot of these monsters might as well still be vanillas, but then a random Gandora in disguise suddenly shows up. That Meda Bat definitely would have been banned for a long time in the TCG. I'm not even entirely sure it wouldn't still be banned today.

To Kaiba: there is a link-monster called linkuriboh. It's a link 1 monster, what need a level 1 monster, so you can summon it with any of your level 1 monster. It is good to send your stones to the grave and when the oppenent attacks, you can tribute it to change the atk of the attacking monster to 0.

The volume on the intro came out really quiet. Magia is a card that represents Yugi and Kaiba's friendship. "I can make it without using any Dark Magician cards." That's Kaiba alright. I have always thought that modern Kaiba would definitely be playing Bystials. He'd probably still be playing it in Blue Eyes instead of in Branded, but I could see it going either way. Branded does still involve a lot of big dragons, after all. Kaiba: You might not have noticed, but when you opened the Imperm bundle, you also got a Ghost Belle from one of the packs. Ghost Belle isn't quite as useful as your other hand traps, but it's still good to have, and may be worth considering if a lot of your opponents are removing cards from the GY. You also got a Union Hanger when you opened the Nibiru bundle, and it's support for your XYZ-Dragon Cannon cards. Some of those cards can make a decent deck too, though they don't help your Blue-Eyes and Bystial strategy much.

A question for y'all-- since I'm not able to do this series as often or record as much as I'd like, how would you all feel about me keeping a separate deck on this Master Duel account so that I can keep Kaiba at the same rank? That way I don't have to start from rookie rank again every episode.

I'm definitely no Branded expert, but it seems to me like this banlist basically puts Branded at the same place it's at in Master Duel and the OCG. And it's still putting up some results as around a tier 3 deck in those formats. I don't think I've ever seen anyone play Left Arm for Grass in Branded, but it's probably fine.

To kaiba: how about putting more useful rank 8 xyz Monster in your deck? There is one called Number 38: Hope Harbinger Dragon Titanic Galaxy. I know, really long name, but he can negate spell cards or Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon, which can steal oppenent monsters. This are a few exemples, there give more useful rank 8 xyz Monster you can try out.

"Synchro, Xyz, Pendulum, Link. I understand all of it now!" -Something no new/returning player has ever said in so short a time. I gotta say, the editing you did turned out really nice. The fading between plays is simple, but it looks super smooth. And I think adding the voiceover in post worked great. That said, of course you should figure out how what works best for you and lets you use your time most efficiently. Kaiba: While nothing is better than surprising your opponent with a Trap card, it turns out that setting Traps and waiting for your opponent's turn to activate them is too slow these days. Now, we activate Trap cards directly from our hands, and call them handtraps. Also, most of them are monsters now. So instead of Divine Wrath, we play Infinite Impermanence or Effect Veiler. Instead of Torrential Tribute, we play Nibiru. Instead of... okay, I don't think there really were any cards like Ash Blossom, Maxx C, Droll, or the Bystials back when you used to play, but people use them all the time now.

Kaiba: "It's been a while since this was recorded. Unfortunately, some flunkies from some company known as "Amazon" tried to take over my company, so I've been busy the past few months. To kaiba : I recommend running destined rivals if you have blue eyes on the field you can negate all their monsters effects. I also recommend White Stone of legend it let you add a blue eyes to your hand if it hit the graveyard and maiden with eyes of blue if it targeted for a attack or affect let you summon a blue eyes from your hand deck or graveyard

I love MBT's deck. Though I am very biased in favor of Mekk Knights being played. 28:00 Fun fact: attacking Driver is always a bad idea. No sane person is going to play more than one Driver, and Gamma can summon a Driver from GY but not from banishment. So attacking Driver and putting it in the GY potentially turns on any future copies of Driver your opponent has drawn. It is very unlikely to ever come up, but I have been bitten by this before. It's one of those mistakes that you learn to only make once. Also in that game, UCT and Construct's effects should have both gone off, since they both trigger at the start of damage step. Construct is mandatory so it's CL1, then UCT is CL2, and then they both resolve. It wouldn't have mattered though, because Daibak was just too good. The new editing software seems to be working well for you. You could probably turn the background music down a bit though. Fun games, glad to see you uploading again.

To kaiba: So i haven't played master duel in a long time admittedly - and i am too impaitent for it to download - but two things. First off, what do you think about inferno tempest? Second, and admittedly i am saying this before watching this episode and seeing the master duel banlist, but have you ever considered running eradicator epidemic virus? It says: "Tribute 1 DARK monster with 2500 or more ATK, and declare 1 type of card (Spell or Trap); look at your opponent's hand, all Spells/Traps they control, and all cards they draw until the end of their 3rd turn after this card's activation, and destroy all cards of that declared type." Sure it can be a bit costly, but against the right decks, it can be literally game winning.

So I went back and rewatched when we first graded Slifer back when my audio quality was dismal, and we literally just liked Slifer because it had a good color compared to how they handled Ra, and the fact that it rushed past the camera. It’s fun to think about the unseen duels Yuma and crew may have found themselves in. Like Number 49 doesn’t seem crazy to me, but I wonder what kinda deck would use it. My personal favorite what if Number story would be prolly be Gossip Shadow.

Something to note: Kite has a confirmed kill count of 17 when he's introduced + whatever Numbers he collected between episode 13 and his duel vs Vetrix offscreen, so at least 14 of the Numbers not summoned on screen in the anime were collected by him (I say 14 since we see Gold Rat's original Number holder and we know he's collected Illumiknight and Giga-Brilliant). Vetrix has also been very clearly collecting Numbers off screen since he's the one who collected Shark Drake for Trey to trick Shark into getting. He's also the one that gave Trey Chronomaly Atlandis. The Barians as well, most notably Vector who has like 3 Numbers that he seems to have just collected off screen. Dextra and Nistro also likely collected Numbers off screen since they were Number Hunters too - probably giving them to Dr Faker himself to use.

In an alternate universe Shark summones Crooked Cook with right hand shark and proceeds to deck out the opponent
