the legal system is the issue here. but heres the thing, if landlords are just trying to fill a house quickly and dont take time to background check the tenant and loook at their face book and have a PI follow them for a month, then the trash will roll right in.

if im an owner or a landlord of a house im renting and they stop paying and destroy the house etc, i be dammed if im going to pay more money to the legal system. also, the toilet look like the tenants broke it... then they stop paying there rent and they go after the landlord? then they get free housing? ok nope.

So police won't come because its a civil matter. But hire bailiffs, people refuse to move, bailiffs call police, police come out!! Ridiculous

The leaky toilet is 100% the fault of the tenant. Tenant doesn't report it, then a 200 quid job turns into a 20,000 job. The landlord would have fixed it immediately. The tenant should be held responsible.

The squatters are so annoying. We all pay our way in life. I raised two kids on my own and sometimes had no money spare. I never ever had rent arrears. My kids deserved a roof over their heads. That was my responsibility. These people have a sense of entitlement.

I think everybody who considers renting a property out, should watch a few of these episodes. They will learn quickly it is best to use an agency and as soon as there are rent arrears, get to court.
