God the music at 7:30 perfectly encapsulates that seething boiling feeling of anger. The slow build up before, the drums and melody kicking in and the xylophone punctuating it all, I don't think I've ever heard a piece perfectly capture this feeling before. An absolutely Amazing score!
@KnapfordHarbour9 ай бұрын
Thank you! I can't take all the credit for that particular piece however, it's an arrangement I made to suit the scene based on Miles Goodman's soundtrack for The Muppet Christmas Carol, I encourage you to look that up and listen to the whole thing as it is very Christmassy and lovely!

There were lots of parts in the score which were inspired by (or outright arrangements of) Miles Goodman's compositions for The Muppet Christmas Carol, however the part you've timestamped is just some airy-sounding stuff from my own brain!

@TechyBoi019 ай бұрын
@@KnapfordHarbour this is just a suggestion, but have you considered making an extended piece of James’ theme in this special with Bertie, Henry’s, and Terence’s themes in tact? I think it could work cause they all somehow have very similar beats!
@TheBritFromOz0089 ай бұрын
I loved the music in this - how you intertwined recognisable Thomas music and Christmas tunes with all the pieces that compliment what's on-screen (the clock where we first meet Caroline) so seamlessly was simply masterful. The music was a huge part of what made this video so beautiful - all your scores for tardisrescue videos are brilliant but this one is my favourite outright; it and the video it accompanied feel so homely, as any Christmas special should. Terence's theme is one of my favourites from the series and your interpretation of it is wonderful, particularly as it crops up a few times.
@KnapfordHarbour9 ай бұрын
I really appreciate you saying so, thank you! There was definitely an airy-ness and some ambiguity needed for this one, Thomas is usually very happy or very sad, he's an emotionally extreme character - Dan did not write him like that at all haha, he's sort of empty and lost for a majority of the story and the music had to reflect that as well. I do love a good Terence theme and snuck it in as often as it made sense to do so!
