Just took delivery of one just like yours. Asked the dealer about installing the brush guard and they said it hits the front hood and there is not enought room for it as its design for a maverick. Did you have that issue?
@TheRmeyPilotАй бұрын
That is absoluttely NOT true. Look under a Maverick and follow the bar to the bolted location on the frame and you will see that the brushguard has three bolt options to adjust the guard up or down. Mine is adjusted one bolt hole. You can see on my video that there is still clearance even with the wheels turned. Yes, the wheels will rub EVERY SO SLIGHTLY when I am golfing and going down a hard grade with the wheels turned fully, but it's not ever an issue. It has never touched during any other situation and has not even left a wear mark on the guard. I hope that helps!

The bolt would smooth out after 1k rounds ?
@TheRmeyPilot3 ай бұрын
Not in this case. The bolt was actually causing shavings in the slide. 1,000 rounds of shaving might’ve caused a sloppy bolt. Go to the 4:00 mark and see that polishing was microscopic, so much so that the acid-etched numbers on the bolt were still present.

Thanks for the adjustment tips but I think you didn't approach it correctly. Your'e supposed to set the cart back about 5 feet and mark or tape where the horizontal line is. Then, move the cart back about 25' and align the beam so that it is LEVEL with where the mark or tape is. In your video, it appears that you are very close to the wall.

@TheRmeyPilot5 ай бұрын
No Jack was needed. Feel behind the plastic housing for two bolts. Remove those to take the plastic housing and license plate holder in one piece. You can then easily see the mounting points for the brush guard. The plastic housing will be installed in higher holes to lower it and make room for the guard. It will be obvious. Hope that helps!

I just have my wife scream at the razor which scares it back into new factory new sharpness. Since all married men ususally have a screaming wife in your house, just wait for you to do something quote wrong and put the shaver inches away from her and you got yourself a new shaver. Your welcome.

I use Gillette 7 O'Clock blades in a $6 Chinese razor and obtain 60 shaves per blade costimg 12 cents per blade. As an experiment, I placed a very small amount of toothpaste on the inside of a drinking glass and rubbed a used blade back and forth over the toothpaste. Voila! Another 30 shaves from the used blade. But at 12 cents per blade, all this was simply an experiment. However, I recommend Gillette 7 O' Clock blades.

Does the little groove on both sides of the retainer spring that hold in the extractors and firing pine go towards the butt of the gun or towards the muzzle end of the rifle?
@TheRmeyPilot6 ай бұрын
For my CZ, I’ll plead ignorance because I didn’t see any groove. I would say that as long as the clip is firmly in place, it should be in the way of anything and thusly shouldn’t matter, but research just in case. ;)

He left a bit o f important info out here and a little mistake. One, the Stone was a straight razor hone which is in the neighborhood of 20 to 30 JIS Grit. It is not a typical sharpening stone and hard to find. A hard white or black Arkansas stone is easier to find but expensive and is what a smith uses for fine work such as trigger honing. The co mpound is NOT Jewelers rouge. R ouge is a compound for soft precious metals and made from iron oxide. It is not for steel. Color of bar is dull reddish brown. Compound used here is White Alu. Oxide and is a fine polishing compound made for steel. Do not order rouge for your work thinking it is the proper compound. White is fine, Green Chrome is finer adn pure Green Chrome is the finest for full mirror finish. KnifeMaker/Retired after over 47+ Years in the Craft.

@michaell3976 ай бұрын
for whatever reason, it did not print as I wrote it. It (the Razor Hone) is not 20-30 Jis but rather 20,000 to 30,000 JIS in Grit. Huge difference!

Yours was one of two pertinent videos that popped up when I searched for 'using a vacuum chamber to marinate meat'. So thanks for making this and I'm glad I'm not the only one keeping myself up at night thinking about these things. I recently made instant pickles with my vacuum chamber and pump which I originally got to stabilize wood. The pickled carrots came out great and only took 3-4 minutes in the chamber. That night I was wondering what I should do with the pork belly I got at Costco and I got fixated on a vacuum brine. Sounds weird, but here me out - Hibiscus tea, ginger syrup, orange juice and zest, Chinese five spice, and salt. I figure I can suffuse it with the flavor and pink color throughout, like the (artificially colored) spare rib tips you get at your Chinese takeout. After that, sear them in a pan, pop them in a slow cooker all day and then maybe crisp them up under a broiler afterward. Gotta think of a primary sauce I want to make with the drippings from the slow cooker. I have off tomorrow and will execute this plan - I am so excited!

I love your comment. I just learned about instant pickling with the vacuum system. I will have to try that. Thanks for your comment!

!Very usefull video! Thank you! But what stone are you using? I migth as well ask what polish paste you are using so I get it correctly from the start :)
@TheRmeyPilot Жыл бұрын
The stone is ultra fine… in the neighborhood of 1,000 grit or higher. The compound is jeweler’s rouge that feels like a round stick of semi-hard clay. I would imagine that you could also use mother’s polishing paste. Notice that the stone and polishing are so light that the acid factory etching is still readable. The stone is just to lightly take off the high points. The jewelers rouge is to polish it. All this to say, don’t overdo it. Less is more. ;)
