You got “Will not require a tune”. I was under the impression that any change to the intake that changes the volume of air to the engine does require one?? Where did you learn that it does not need one?

I installed my Diode Dynamics hitch mount a few weeks ago. No problems and it works great. I only wish is was designed so it would have been flush against the hitch. It sticks out about 3/4 inch but that’s because I chose to run a hitch lock through it. Otherwise I figured my new hitch light would grow leg and find its way to someone else’s vehicle.

Looks sick. Question: I had replied to your video on the tactical roof rack install 7 months or so ago wondering how it was holding up. Any issues with the powder coat, fading, discolouration etc or similar issues with the hardware. Rust and corrosion?

I know it is an old video, and you already went up a size again but thank you for the heads up on this set up. I have a stock setup 245/75R16 with mud flaps and am looking to put on the Generals with 265/75R16 indeed I will remove the front flaps and keep the rears/ Anyway thanks again it was useful information even 4 years later! Edit: Changed my mind and put on Falken 4w's 265/75R16 running with mud flaps with no rubbing issues the diameter is 31.7in so just shy of 32 with 33 the most agreed to for stock rubbing issues.

How is this tire on cold wet road maybe a little bit of ice or snow. Trying to pick between these and the falken wildpeak, just dont like wildpeak look at all,they r not aggressive looking,but i do have a set of these on my tundra and like them,heading north this winter in my tremor so need to know what will be best for winter

i know its been a few years since you posted this but i recently bought a 2015 cvt limited and was curious if i need to buy winter tires or if im genereally ok with the factory tires
@SpencerHogg3 ай бұрын
Yeah definitely, I would recommend it if you live in Canada atleast. You'd enjoy the car alot more too in the winter time if you get some serious dedicated/ good winter tires. I've had different studded, non-studded, etc. on my past Subaru, and even on my Tacoma nowadays I run a studded tire (but it's actually an all-season that's studded.) I purposefully post those on for winter so I can enjoy some off-road in the deep snow, and with the old Subaru I used to drive it out on the frozen lakes and enjoy driving around and they had some loops setup for driving on the ice. But.. if for some reason you can't, I'd just double check the factory tires you got on it. If it's a 2015 that's almost 10 years now so there's different tires on it, than what the factory probably would put based on where you live. Like make sure they're not summer tires atleast. If they're a good all-season with good amount of tread left on them, you'd be fine in the winter but you might get stuck in deeper snow, or slip a bit more on ice.

This subaru is known for having a little crappy of OE batteries. Take it from someone whose worked at a Subaru dealership replacing your battery after 2.5 years isn't very surprising and not indicative of the blackvue draining too much or anything.

I’m always wanted the bumper aluminum so doesn’t get worse every year and you just never see it anywhere as the first time I’ve seen it in a video looks awesome SPC are always known for having problems for being up in Canada. Something like Dobinson billet aluminum sealed won’t rust as bad
@SpencerHogg3 ай бұрын
Thank you, I love the aluminum front bumper - it might not be as strong / cannot jack from the points perhaps, just need a bit more precaution - but I like that benefit over a very heavy steel made bumper, + the rust comes, no matter how much Galvanizing you think you've done or powder coat, the rock chips in Winter -38*C will destroy it. Also thanks for the suggestions on the UCA's too I will check those out!! I have been doing some reading on the reviews of different ones.

Love the look of the wheels do you run a wheel spacer to run these?
@SpencerHogg3 ай бұрын
Thanks man!! No spacers required for these, I'm running the 16 x 8 with -10 offset, I think that offset gives a bit of clearance (I don't have a cab mount cut, I just have no bumper lol) but have to run no mudflaps.

Just go with some camburg upper control arms and call it a day. Have tried dirt king, spc, Total chaos and Camburg. The Camburg uppers with the sealed uniballs are by far the best I've installed for my customers. Just follow up with some quick maintenance, give them a little spray of wd-40 after they get wet if going through water crossings or pressure washing and drive for a day or two, then grease them up through the Zerk fitting and you are good to go. One of my customers has had his for over 40k miles, 0 issues. That's what I currently run on my 23 Taco TRD OR. They can also take a beating. Camburg has some capped X-joint uppers as well. Heard nothing but good things about those.

Hahaha bro never too late!!! Slow n steady look at this, took me 3 years now to reach this point and I can confirm it’s so rewarding. You could just slap it all at once, one and done, you’d probably get tired / bored after 1 year then. This keeps it a lot more fun, progressively learning, adding, changing parts, building it up to your style, I love that
