Hi, I have a questión. I see you´ve used the rear Poppys in a different position as usual (as I´ve seen in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/b16zqImji6t8g8U). Why? You have better results using them in this way?
@LDPizza
@LDPizza 4 ай бұрын
He is getting a zero (or close to zero) hanger angle in that way, and you can get a similar thing also using an ldp fork bracket (13°) and a rear 20° poppy mounted that way (13 -20 = -7° final angle). At that low angle, the position of the truck has pretty no effects on turning and also can extend the wheelbase (while regularly mounted, if the board is 20°, mounting it reguarly would lead to 20+20=40° rear angle!)

Cool as always. Monsieur Panta, I'm helping a friend to build his LDP setup, he found an Euphoria in B/S/T - do you know why they were phased out? Sincerely, Max
@TheGravitylaws

DT made a V1, the one you see on this video, very close to a poppy but the add value was the adjustable base, and then a v2, more sharp, a refined designed, who was very close to a Slalocybin. Bushing seats and rakes made the difference between them actually. Dan didn't tell me that's the reason it is discontinued, by I guess that's one of the reason, at a moment it was an "in between" a line. As some other models disappear, like the Shrooms.Anyway, if you find a second hand Euphoria for a reasonable price, rush on it ;)

I am a surfskate addict but also recently moved to LDPumping 4 cruising. There is no complete surfskate in the market that can perform close to a LDPumping deck unless u assemble your own. First is to get a deck with a long Wheelbase at least >24". Slide V3 or cx Surf system r good 4 LDPumping which allows u to pump from standstill but still able to achieve 14-17 kph cruising speed with a dewedge stiff rear truck.

Why the harder duro in the front and not the softer which will also help roll over shit easier?
@TheGravitylaws
@TheGravitylaws Жыл бұрын
The more the grip the less the speed. Front wheels are much less solicited with grip than rear when pumping. You need to keep your rear grippy but not too much, enough to not slide when heavy pump. But not too much or it will slow you down noticeably . While power pumping, I've been "passed" by my rear wheels in a sort of 180° shuvit a few times, you have the head in the concrete before to understand wtf happened :) :) Once you have found the right rear duro, who depends also of the road quality, you can go safely up one duro level for the front who doesn't need to be as grippy (then as "slow") that the back - the hardest, then fastest, always on front. It is why you often see split duro in LDP and in Slalom. IN DH we need the 4 wheels to behave the same, to be predictive when sliding or gripping. On a perfect track like Miami or Amsterdam ultra's, no need to split, but for daily commute and training, it is a good hack. For rolling over shits, size and momentum weight of big wheels matters much more than a duro.
@walter8758
@walter8758 Жыл бұрын
I agree big wheels roll over shit better but had the understanding softer duro helps it to roll over as well. But on the grip part when pumping hard to prevent losing grip it makes sense as it happened to me as well and can be scary when it is not intentional

I switch pump and push, but not as efficiently that my natural goofy stance. You don't need to master switch to be competitive. An advice, practice on a slightly uphill road, because of this you won't go too fast and you'll be oblige to work your bad leg and stance very accurately . At the beginning you look like shit, but I promise it comes quite fast.

What’s up! quick question: Pantheon longboards is a great company! I have their Ember commuter board, but I noticed they have platform decks in stock…the Bandito and the Wiggler pantheonlongboards.com/products/boards/ Have you ever tried them? The Bandito is short, at 23inches…while the Wiggler is longer, but has more flex…I personally like stiff decks so I can really dig into pumps with no flex…

Or the TTS? I used the Juggernaut Xylem 28" 9 Ply with a glass DDR (cheaper and lighter) with TTS on back…and a Bennett front truck with Riptide bushings…Venom cannibal wheels, bro I must have put a thousand miles on the board I kind of want to build a new board, and was thinking SDF on front with TTX on back…and buying Gbomb’s poppy truck… Any info would be greatly appreciated!
