Play the wind. If they can’t smell you, chances are they won’t see you. Stay still and be in cover, just try mot to move a lot. Deer are very oblivious when they think everything is normal. I have harvested roughly 9 deer, mostly with a bow. Biggest part is you can’t harvest one from the couch so seeing you out there being an ethical hunter is all that matters bro! Experience is your friend, learn from what went wrong and plan accordingly!

Also, wash your clothes in baking soda and shower with baking soda, helps take some scent off. My grandpa always did that to hunt elk and deer, he would hunt in a flannel and just sit somewhere with good wind. Best of luck brother 🫡

If that bow has to point at the moon to be pulled back , back it down a bit . When you get a big mature buck in close that stuff can’t happen

Don’t take shots over 30 yards and you will be fine and you don’t need range finder experience is the issue

I’m think you drew back to early if you waited a bit longer before you draw. If you have a good time where you can draw and not get caught, also I would change from whisker biscuit to a drop away would minimize noise while drawing back.

My 20ga gave very questionable patterns with factory chokes. Bought Briley extended chokes and now it's nearly neck to neck with my 12ga

Pick you up some lighted nocks. They help a lot with seeing your arrow a with you filming be lot easier to roll camera footage back a see where the arrow hit.

Range finder is key, Vortex has models with arc technology that helps alot when hunting from an elevated position.

It's OK it happen it hunting but range finder will be the key but once you get use to range your surround so much you will soon find out how far it will always be but usually range all the tree around you before deer start moving.

Always seems the 2 week doe only, the does seems lot more laid back, that being said you probably could’ve held off to pull back. Needless to say that was impressive holding anchor for so long haha. Just keep that in mind in my experience hunting does in January they seem like they don’t care you’re there if theirs food close..

You'd be surprised how many people are paralyzed every hunting season. They won't wear a safety harness secured by strap to the tree. Many of these hunters simply fall asleep and fall out of their tree stands. Cheap stands without security bars is another reason.

Great video! FYI. I just purchased the Garmen. I licked my palm and squeeze the collar into my own hand and tested the corrections. I can literally feel nothing on one or two. At 3 I can feel a mild tickle. At 4 You don't like it. I then just cranked it straight to 10 lick my palm and hit "momentary". I felt as though I had been corrected.😅. It's not going to kill you but I have no desire to put it on my neck, nor would I do that to my dog at that amperage particularly if his coat was wet. 😂😂😂. My presumption is that your dog won't feel anything until you hit two or three. I was a cold war kid and they taught us that humans can tolerate about double the voltage that a dog can handle. I was literally licking 8:57 bear flesh and squeezing it into my hand and three was the first level that I felt anything. If you're going to ask me if I'm going to strap it on to my own neck and hand the controller to somebody else at a lower level admittedly I'm not going to do that. 😅 Be cautious with your dogs and don't overpunish them! You can ruin a dog this way but if you've got a dog that's a real hard head which every dog is different you might need to give him some juice. I'm 58 and have owned about 10 dogs. Every one of them is different. You can ruin them with excessive force. You can also ruin them with not enough. Please use good judgment and error to the side of less force than more when you use a device like this. I consider myself an expert dog trainer. Be careful but do the right thing. Be a kind and very patient master that also expects reasonable obedience. Dogs are like children that you have to show love and patience with a little bit of discipline. I worry that there are guys out there that power Trip on being brutal. This is not necessary. Develop respect, and that dog will be a loyal companion for his entire life!

Who knows WD 40 your gun yes, just might be past help. but it's worth a try. Dripping wet , let it set. been there done that. and also a friend of mine had a big problem and , I told him about this and it did get rid of the rust. caught it in time. I didn't think it would with his gun . but it did work .

Look at your shot at 6:23, your gun is shooting high. I noticed a few of your shots in this video and thought there was no way you missed. You’re aiming right at the bird instead of below like you should be with the Benelli. Adjust that collar on the mag tube to adjust your poi
