I find it interesting that Kitty would say her sons are sociopaths & the prosecution tried to use this to insinuate that Kitty was afraid of her sons before her death. Yet no one mentions the fact that Kitty herself was constantly threatening to kill the whole family by poisoning them (Jose was even afraid of this and refused to eat her cooked meals on occasions as testified to by the brothers & Traci Baker.) I also wouldn’t say that Kitty was happy to be a stay at home mother, she did have ambitions to have her own career but according to Lyle (based on what Kitty later told him) , once she got pregnant Jose gave her an ultimatum: have my child or leave. Once Kitty had Lyle she told her friend Faith Goldsmith (who testified at trial) that she would rather leave Lyle at home with his grandmother full time and Kitty could see Lyle on the weekends. Other family members would testify that Kitty would often tell her sons they ruined her marriage, that she wished they were girls, and that she wished they were never born. Kitty wasn’t a loving stay at home mother based on these testimonies.
