What’s the context for this song? I mean what’s it about? I like it.

@Drewgasparini123 Hi my girlfriend is in love with the song Circus and Make me Bad and we’ve been trying to find anything about it but it’s all mainly lost media. Our Two year anniversary and valentines is coming up and I wanna give her a gift through this show, if there’s any videos/recordings of the show or anyplace where I can possibly purchase the script, it would help me try to give her a great gift

One of the most addicting songs revolving around falling for a monster, and becoming one as a result. It's so morbidly fun, beautiful, and tragic. Absolutely inspirational for writers interested in horror and "dark romance" 🖤🖤🖤

oh this is amazing. coming in with no context i was half expecting some tragic turn, in a way with full context now feels like it echoes just not knowing how life will go when you're in it, but with that surprisingly positive ending i was absolutely not disappointed & thinking about this in full is just lovely. the way that slight tonal shifts early on kind of prompted me to wonder about some potential twist, but fit perfectly well without one, like the inclusion of perhaps the Less incredible interactions between a little & big brother, like the latter not yet learning to not treat the former like a toy haha, but that even with less than perfect times like these a relationship over the years can be completely genuine & solid. the way that so many kinds of interactions are included while all being mundane & funny while speaking to the experience of looking up to this person & them being such a part of your life & how that's expressed, and are shown to subtly evolve as time passes. brilliantly acted by jeremy too, who convincingly embodies these different stages without massive changes. his warmth and energy can get you on board a performance so easily, and i'll always take acting prioritized over singing but he brings the latter so gorgeously as well, emotional and earnest and showing off the music beautifully. the writing & performance working together incredibly to create such a heartfelt experience out of something honest about how a relationship can be largely comprised of the everyday, the unspectacular, perhaps the inadvisable and better avoided at times lol, and yet all amount to something completely meaningful and as significant as anything else can be. couldn't be a better tribute, i've gotten weepier reflecting on it for this comment lol, which is really worthwhile because there's so much to appreciate. right there with the audience member saying "wow!" just as the song ends.

Ok I’m super late to this but what is this from? Is it a musical or a book adaptation?
@realpufflebro7 ай бұрын
It's originally a book by ned vizzini. The songs are from a draft for a musical adaption. But it seems unlikely it will ever be released. First of all it's been a long time and second of all it's very similar to Dear Evan Hansen (At least on the surface. I know both and love both but i can see why it'd be hard to market another musical about a depressed teen)
@NoahsCakesandBakes7 ай бұрын

Lyrics :) Isn't this what you wanted, Somebody new? 'Cause I made a promise to me, that I could be anything and everything to you. Oh. I know you don't understand me. I don't expect you too. But holding my tongue has gotten me no where, So this time I've gotta get through. Year after year, I've been waiting. I was the guy by your side. I've watched you get hurt. And heard your complaining. Just please open your eyes. I'm right here. And I've always been here. Like a puppy dog. When you're gone I'll be waiting right here Just hoping so delicately That you'll finally find me waiting right here. Look, I'm not trying to sound desperate. I'm just a fool. But I see that you can see that it's not so crazy, That I could be the fool for you. Oh. I guess I'm saying I love you. Just hoping that you love me too! But don't say a word 'cause I'm terrified. And right now I'm feeling brand new. You're looking at me. Like I'm crazy, Well, maybe I just lost my mind. But the truth is, Its taken me years just to say this... All you've wanted to find. Is right here. And I've always been here. Like a puppy dog. When you're gone I'll be waiting right here. Just hoping so delicately That you'll finally find me waiting right here. Time and again, I would turn back around The second that I got this far, But now that you're listening I won't back down. Can't you see everything you wanted is Right here! So I guess I'll keep wishing. Cause wishes they sometimes come true. Until then, You know where to find me Just look behind you, It's true. I have always been waiting, Patently waiting, I have always been waiting, Right here for you.
