Great video! In case of CommServe is straight forward the DR folder backup. What about the Media Agents and DDB backup? What is the best practice to also backup them without an additional Commvault environment?

The best practice is to use the subclient automatically created to backup the DDB every 8 hours. If you lose the DDB , you can restore it quickly. The DDB can be rolled forward by reading DDB transactions stored with the backup jobs. For example, suppose you backup the DDB at 1AM and you lose the DDB at 5AM. You would restore the DDB as of 1AM and roll forward to 5AM. The process is very similar to restoring a database from a full backup and then rolling forward with transaction logs.

thanks for sharing this. helpful. if i hv an org running 10k users. Average said 10% of users asked for lost file restore, can i confirm that this software will not provide self user recovery and help me to keep my job as backup admin important and bz so my manager will not fire me due to the amount of restore activities i need to respond to my users?
