Bruh “it’s not the best pc” fr?!! Jk srsly tho I honestly believe graphics is a reason why people don’t find Minecraft as entertaining anymore, and shaders really help fix that. Now Minecraft themselves have recognised this issue and are working on deferred rendering in bedrock, I doubt they’ll do anything on Java since we already have a dedicated community who develop shaders, and honestly I don’t mind cos these shaders just keep getting better somehow!

I highly recommend BLISS Shaders, localized volumetric fog, sun rays, colored lighting. Its truly amazing, imo the best shaders out there. Always exciting to see people use shaders for the first time, hope you have fun man

i recently started playing in a world, but i wanted it to be different. i turned on shaders and made it a rule that they had to be on, but i was struggling to run them at more than 3-50 fps at 10 chunks. what is weird is i came back from a vacation and i was suddenly running them at 120 fps, but it didn't go over, so i switch the shaders settings from low, to ultra high and 18 chunks and was getting 60 fps while MOVING! i have no clue what happened because my laptop struggles with 16 chunks most of the time

Combine this with distant horizons and a cocktail of performance mods, and you've got a fantastic vanilla experience or a great base to start modding from.

I had an RTX 2070 super and an an i5-9900 I think. For some reason Minecraft was the one game I couldn't run decently I could never get it to run at more than like 60fps consistently. I troubleshooted tons but never found a solution that worked

I always had the option to play with shaders but I just don't like to play like that, I tried shaders a few times but never wanted to play with them Also Xbox 360 the best edition of Minecraft 💪

I am using feather client with sodium. Running this client with ultra shaders still gives me more fps than no shaders and standard client. I suggest you using feather

Thanks for the suggestion I'll have to look into it. Currently I am using sodium and it seems to run really well so I'll see if feather is any better

Yeah that's the one thing I would change if I could go back. I would go with the AMD 7800 x3D instead but for now I have this. It honestly runs pretty good, gets a bit hot sometimes but that could be partially fixed with a better AIO. Thankfully its not a 14900k or I'd be having some serious problems lmfao. Honestly it is definitely something I should get into, my previous pc struggled to run vanilla Minecraft so I am excited to experience new and different things that I couldn't before.

Exactly what I was going to say, for me it turned Minecraft around completely. While I always dreamed of running the game at 32 chunk distance, now we can do 300 or more. Makes the game feel completely different. (I'd also say try different shaders! I love BSL but changing it up a bit every few months makes the game feel fresh for me. Some shaders compatible with Distant Horizons are BSL, Bliss, Complementary, Shrimple, Rethinking Voxels, Noble and Photon.)
