If you go again, have a close look at the mirror art thing on the quay, it really does odd things to your vision. We were there on Friday and loved the place. We both have Victorian ancestors who sailed boats from Lynn, and we wanted to tread in their footsteps. But isn't the shopping area hideous?

We have stayed there twice for christmas, just before the Pandemic 4 nights each time 'Upgraded' to a 'Founders Sweet' which was great Bubble bath and your own Sauna Didnt take the breakfast because theres loads of places next door and just up the road Had the Christmas Dinner 'tasting Menu' though, it was bloody great! Would /will go again!

You appear to have been extremely unlucky as everything was open and clean plus our room was immaculate in all honesty. Egyptian 5* is clearly not comparable to UK 5* but, fortunately for us, we didn't encounter any of the issues you were so unfortunate to find.

We we told about the hawkers and took a red bean bag from the towel dispensary and they never bothered us once. I'll give you the mosquito and fly issue but that's all over Hurghada not just the royal lagoon. We got back from a wonderful 12 day holiday yesterday and would have no issues with going there again, it was wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. We absolutely loved it! Orange Island was our highlight, absolutely stunning!

Quite a fresh looking, stylish hotel! Seems like good value. Too bad the pub grub was so expensive! They sure had nice chesterfield chairs though. Unrelated: i've been informed by people on the Centerparcs forum that September is the cheapest month to book in the Netherlands (for later). So, sitting down to book in september would be cheaper than doing the same in march. Thought i'd mention that to you guys. Have a good one!

Nope, the place won't be mobbed. I often visit Lynn & it's the sleepiest town l've ever visited, Sat night Spoons might be busy but that's about it.

😮i think comments a little unfair. I have been to several places in Bulgaria starting when it was it was still communist and they had NOTHING. Old Nessabar had very little which included food. If you dont want seagulls dont do near to a seaside place!

Last time I went to Butlins was early 2000s a lot has changed since then and I used to enjoy it. I wouldn't be interested in going back to Butlins and where I live is practically like Butlins as Wembley has it all from relaxation (Neasden Hindu temple) to enjoying live free performances or watching the football just outside Wembley stadium with everything in-between. If one wonders what it would be like living in Butlins just move to Wembley you will surely see.

Been a couple of times to Butlins Skegness, my main issue is the cleanliness of the place. It really does need money spending on it to bring it back to modern standards.

We've stayed there many times, usually during term time which results in an absolute bargain price for the accommodation. It's worth paying for the premium food package as the dining area is a little more upmarket. I wouldn't let a few bits of flaky paint put you off staying there, the entertainments and activities more than make up for it. Unless you're an alcoholic, I don't think the unlimited drinks package is essential, you can always buy your own from the onsite supermarket. In short, it's a great budget holiday.

Anything that says "coffeeshop" is that kind of coffeeshop. Goa included haha (pretty decent selection, if overpriced.) Even "those kinds" of coffeeshops usually sell a decent cup of coffee, by the way.

Lovely video. Haven't been to the Zandvoort park that i can remember, but i do remember it being billed as one of the smaller parks. The best park in my opinion would be Heijderbos, between the Jungle Dome, it's size, the lake and the legendarily rough white water rapids at the pool. Kempervennen is the largest park, and together with the Eemhof they make up the 5-star parks of our country. The Huttenheugde also deserves a mention, big pool, good memories. That all being said, it's been ages since i've visited any, so yesterday i booked a cottage at Limburgse Peel for september. Limburgse Peel used to be a direct competitor to Centerparcs, so they built it right next to the Meerdal park - before Centerparcs aquired it. For a tenner per person extra you can use the Meerdal pool as well! A dutchman loves a bargain, of course. Hope you guys enjoyed your trip!
