Hopefully the format remains, as I'm typing through the phone app: Fanatec CSL Elite settings (w/ load cell brakes): SEN - Auto FF - 80 DRI - -05 FEI - 50 FOR - 90 SPR - 70 DPR - 80 BLI - OFF SHO - 70 BRF - 50 (If you have the Load Cell Brake pedals) In-game settings: Controller: 10 FFB Max Torque: 5 FFB Sensitivity: 10

Used this setup to win on Auto, fastest lap I managed was 2:22.8. Managed to gap 2nd place by 30 secs even with lots of erros.

Tbh sometimes that happens when I'm trying to record the time trial or a simulation race. 🙃 Gonna go see my best friend who lives in Texas! Though Panama also sounds fun... 👀

it will be interesting to see what your times are during the actual event, I am surprised I use the exact braking points as you, which I am told are early, but cannot break 1:20. I also can easily do 12 laps on softs, perhaps I'm not pushing hard enough.

Probably not that great haha. I have a really bad habit of driving like a nervous wreck during the real race... Especially if I'm trying to take the race seriously.

It's a pain to get the tire saving nailed down! I had to lessen the over-driving on the right turns to try to keep the left tires alive.

Not really anti racing…it’s nice to have something that’s not a straight sprint where there can be variation in strategy. Racing is about who finishes first given the constraints. How’s it anti racing in your view?

@@DevonSherwood as someone who raced irl for decades, I believe that pure, flat out racing competition between drivers, does not involve factors outside the pace of the drivers and their race craft. This means identical machinery and no need to save fuel or tyres or go into the pits. A requirement to save tyres helps slower drivers and penalises drivers who extract 100% out of them. In real life big time motorsport, there is a non sporting commercial pressure to appear environmentally friendly, that’s why F1 uses fragile tyres that have wear and temp issues so bad, that even over 1 lap in qualifying the drivers have to manage them and cannot go flat out. That is not pure racing. It is fake.
