I just finished playing the AC Black Flag, First AC game I played. It was quite the plot twist with you being an Abstergo Employee but it was very fun. I was at one an Uncles house long time ago and got a glance at one AC game that took place in London, I wish to play that one day. They should go farther in the future than in the past because it would be more fun because it’s something more you could relate to.

Judging by the Climbing gear on the Ambushers and the fact that they use completely silent weapons like bows, probably means that these guys are most likely living where we usually don't go: The Skyscrapers. I bet the Ambushers are basically survivors, trying to live outside of the action and only rappel down and loot when necessary...which is a cool thought. We have people living below ground who are most likely cannibals (judging by some evidence I pieced together) and people living way above ground, ontop or inside of skyscrapers and very tall buildings, both factions coming out of hiding when needed.

My theory on why Ellie is immune is because I think her mother got bitten when she was pregnant with Ellie, but gave birth before she turned. It's just a theory tho.

Thank you for stating in the beginning that the fungus is technically Ophiocordyceps! Looking at the timeline of both the game and show, and comparing it to the real-world research of this group of fungus gave a answer to why it’s called ‘Cordyceps’. The phylogenetic tree of fungi was reclassified in 2007 and in 2022, and a lot of species being renamed. Because both take place before the two major reclassifications, it makes sense why it’s inaccurately described as Cordyceps. Lol just a little thought I had.

I don't know if it's that much of a grey area. The Black Tusk believe that the ends justify the means. This translates into a complete absence of boundaries and morals. Anything is fair game. That screams villainous intent, to me. The SHD have moral restraints and boundaries. The ends cannot justify the means. These very notions are what define and distinct heroes and villains, good and evil people. It's not really a grey area.

I picked up the SRS A1 the other night. Been using it for a whole day and while not as toxic as the m44 series, i love that it stays in place while you're shooting. Chaining headshots together is fairly easy.

I think shamblers cannot be counted as a new infected stage because it was suppose to be a bloater but because of being expose to water and all moist it cause it to Become a sub-variant of a "bloater" but except throwing exploding pods it becomes a mobile suicidal one

You get infected and become a runner who looks basically like a human and will try to eat you or bite you or whatever, you then become a stalker who has a bit of fungi growth and will try to creep behind you and attack from the shadows, clickers have even more fungal growth and are blind but have acute hearing. If a clicker grabs you, you are most likely dead. Then they can become a bloater or a shambler. Shamblers have nasty looking spore capsules that they try to get to explode on you. If a shambler dies the capsules will all explode as well. Bloaters are stronk and will charge at you to grab you and tear your jaw open or just beat the shit out of you. They can throw acid spores like shamblers but they are projectile. And the rat king is a malgamation of a bloater and clickers and stalkers and stuff and is hella stronk (I have nothing else to do with my time so I decided to rant on about this).

I always like to imagine a variant infected based on the Honey Fungus(Humongous Fungus) in Oregon. It shares the title of world’s largest living organism with a forest named Pando. Humongous Fungus is nearly 3,000 acres in size. So, imagine a dense forest in the Pacific Northwest that has been absolutely inundated and overtaken with cordyceps. The topsoil has long since been lost to layers and layers of fungal growth, it’s crept up the trees, it hangs from the canopy, it blankets rock faces and outcroppings. But when you look closer, you can see hundreds of infected human who have merged with and been absorbed by the thick fungal blanket underfoot, they rest quietly in mycelial mounds at the bases of trees, well camouflaged to a cursory glance. But if one enters this moist and mildewed hell scape, there will be nowhere to hide. This mass has become a single communal organism that can communicate with itself from end to end, sensing your every step, every move, everything you touch is it’s very own body. Infectious spores linger in the air, but when some unfortunate soul enters this foul forest spores will spew from all directions until the air is so thick visibility is lost. Should the spore fail to bring you into the infections fold, as you stumble through the poison fog long dormant stalkers will burst forth from the ground and the trees to reach and claw and pull you down. These are just the horrors gleaned from swift and shallow probes of the perimeter. No one knows what depravity lies in the depths, as no person has ever successfully traveled through the Dread Forest.
