--- How did you manage the power connection for the fpv camera ?
@oftenwrong20008 жыл бұрын
The camera has an internal LIpo battery.
@EcoSpeeder8 жыл бұрын
...Come to find out. I was wondering why is was heavy and took it apart an hour ago. I cut the battery out after I figured out how to fashion a power cable to match the camera connector with the RCA-type power cord/ plug that came with the X-8 camera.
@EcoSpeeder8 жыл бұрын
---- I might have kept the internal power source but it now makes it more weight friendly for the X-5c which is why I got the camera. (did not know it required a special mounting plate).
@oftenwrong20008 жыл бұрын
+Michael Workinger I use that camera on the X5C as well. I took off the landing gear and the battery bay door. With that configuration I can have the FPV camera on its belly, and another lightweight camera on its top to record the flight. I am dissatisfied with the FPV cameras recording capability.
@EcoSpeeder8 жыл бұрын
--- 2 thoughts, ..you can chop the landing gear down to 4 low profile individual legs. Works great. ,,,, A proper Class 10 4gb micro SD card might fix that issue

hey nice vid if just ordered my x5c 1 can't wait!! looking to buy the fpv monitor too the same as yours. are there any better antennas? to fly further out if so would be great to know! subbed
@oftenwrong20009 жыл бұрын
+Revolutionist The antenna for the receiver is great a panel antenna. The one on the camera is ok. but it is soldered on. I guess you could solder a different antenna on. The camera stopped working for me. It wont charge. However I still use the receiver screen. With different transmitters. Still works great.
@Rampage007698 жыл бұрын
+oftenwrong2000 You may have already done this but if not, Do the Transmitter antenna range mod asap. I did the transmitter and quad range mods and I have not lost signal yet @ 200meters. I also have the Add on FPV system. My cam battery was not holding much charge either so I just went in and swapped out the battery. It's a 100ma just like you find in a Cheerson CX10. The quad does fly heavier with that set up so I lightened it by removing prop guards, battery door, I mounted cam using Velcro and a wide rubber band. Surprisingly I eliminated the jello I was getting from the cam by doing that. I also added these: www.ebay.com/itm/4pcs-Landing-Gears-Landing-Skids-for-SYMA-X5SC-X5SW-Quadcopter-Drone-/291694828656?var=&hash=item43ea5ddc70:m:mmfINixyQq8OBWVPFn6DSxwAnd these colored props for better orientation: www.ebay.com/itm/371498512574?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AITBoth come in (4) different colors. That FPV system I got here inside of three Bus days $55+ S/H $9: www.ebay.com/itm/401017857418?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AITHope this helps. I'm going to try and solder on a clover leaf Antenna to the cam next. I'm getting out pretty far but I think it can do better. Also running Turnigy 750Mah batts, and some no name 800Mah I got off ebay. Best part about this quad is if you loose it your not out big money, But I have been very lucky so far. Good luck!!!

Hello, nice video but I have some questions: How long does the battery of the screen? can i find your battery the most powerful screen? Can i connect the camera to the battery of the drone when battery failure of the camera? What is the cable has 2 pins of the camera? the antenna supplied has what power in db? video transmitter has what power in db? I can record with SD card ?
@oftenwrong20009 жыл бұрын
+TheSeigneuAnubis The battery on the screen lasts about 20 minutes.Im not sure what you are asking in your next question.The camera can not be powered by the drone.The plug out goes to the port of the Syma X5 and X5S. To start and stop the recording, no power.I don't know what the db of ether is.Yes, you can record from an SD card.I hope this helped.

+oftenwrong2000 the batterie camera and screen is in 3.7v ?
@oftenwrong20009 жыл бұрын
The battery is soldered to the camera. You could change it or power it from another source but I don't think it would be worth it. The Screen is the stronger part of the product. I have stopped using this camera, but still use the screen. I think the battery is 7.4 volts.
@TheSeigneuAnubis9 жыл бұрын
+oftenwrong2000 if I weld the battery on the camera, you should think its going to take 90min? www.adafruit.com/products/328

That's not bad for a cheap Bangood 5.8ghz fpv all in one kit. - way better than wifi based fpv. This wasn't for sale when I first got my x8, so I had to go for a hobby-grade fpv sys: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qafKm2hjfL2KeLs

so does the camera have its own battery? And does the display screen fit the x8 transmitter?
@oftenwrong20009 жыл бұрын
The camera does have its own battery. The screen doesn't fit out of the box on the transmitter. But it can be fixed on it with some double sided sticky tape.
@shatterpointgames9 жыл бұрын
Why did you record with the E-flite EFC-72? Does the camera in the FPV kit not record good quality?
@oftenwrong20009 жыл бұрын
The camera only works stock with the syma x5c and x5s. There is a mod to cross the wires and add a switch. Then you can start the camera recording before you fly. The camera quality of the kit so ok. But over all it's a great kit for the price.

I bought this kit from bangood for my x8c but I can' t figure out a way to hook it at the input of drone in order to record from the button of transmission . Could you help me please on doing that?
@oftenwrong20009 жыл бұрын
+αγγελος αγγελοπουλοσ This camera does not plug into the X8C. I turn the camera on to see the transmission on the FPV screen. The FPV transmission range is pretty good for the price. 150-200 meters. I record the flight with another camera. On this flight an E-Flite EFC - 721 HD camera. Made by Horizon Hobby. The X8C can handle the weight of these 2 small cameras. At the beginning of the video I show how I they are set up on the quad copter.I hope this helped.
@takoza53969 жыл бұрын
+αγγελος αγγελοπουλοσ it's an easy mod ;-) the camera has 2 wire's Black(ground) and Yellow (signal) the stock camera of the X8 ha's a jack you can use to do this mod ... ur not gona need the stock camera anyway ;-) desolder or cut the cable from the stock camera and simply solder Yellow to yellow and black to black(sometime's blue) just DO NOT use the RED wire !! thats the hotwire or the 1 that suply's power ...and that wil kil ur fpv camera ;-)
@merodio998 жыл бұрын
+takoza Thanks. Work's perfectly this mod with X8C and his 3,5mm jack. 1.- The original camera of X8C, has 3 wire's,1 red, 1 yellow and 1 blue. 2.- This kit camera has 2 wire's, 1 yellow and 1 black. Instructions: 1.- I cut red and not use, 2.- Solder yellow of 3,5mm jack with yellow on kit camera 3.- Solder blue of 3,5mm jack with black on kit camera When i push down one time button of transmiter i can record video and another one time i stop record and when i push up button of transmiter i can take a photo.
