That's not the way houses are built around here, we have concrete buildings 😉 Anyhow, this is made from plywood with natural oak veneer and then varnished, I doubt you would have a house with this kind of structures 👍😉

Why didnt you paint it first before assembling.

Because I've used glue while assembling, and it would squeeze out. And also due to the handling of the pieces it was better to avoid getting the finish scratched. 😉

Awesome work! I love it. I want to start this project but I’m currently renting where I live. I didn’t want to mess up the owners property with concrete in the ground. Do you think this can still be possible if I put each post into a Home Depot bucket of some sort and fill that up with concrete.
@DMaker_builds4 ай бұрын
Thank you! It might work, but it has to be a large bucket because it's not fixed underground. You can try to fix it also with some steel cables, but I'm afraid it will wobble a little bit more... Good luck on your build! 👍😉
@TheSkicat0014 ай бұрын
would this be possible with a 5 ft wooden fence above a 4" block wall? or would steel post holders bolted to wal top be better to hold he 5" Uprights or should i attach the wooden posts frther down wall maybe 5ft above the wall and 3ftbelow the top of wall for added support??
@DMaker_builds4 ай бұрын
Hi, I think your last option might be the best, because in my opinion 5ft is a bit too high for this type of fixing. Good luck with your build 👍😉

chemical bushing????? what is that?

Is the same as chemical anchoring. In summary is a bonding compound that is inserted into the hole and promotes the adhesion of the metal and the concrete. Google it and you'll find a lot of information about it. 😉👍

We checked at local lumber store but they donot have finished wood slats. We live in Norther california. any help related sourcing the material and material options would be helpful to us.

Hi, normally you should be able to find plywood with natural oak veneer. If not, you will have to buy the plywood and apply the veneer yourself. I'm sorry, I can't help you in where to source these type of material in your region. Thanks, and the best luck with your build! 👍

Beautifully constructed. Thanks for sharing your creative process with us. I'm planning to build a similar unit with the hopes of incorporating a desk (either by depth or attaching a console desk top, to the unit). Do you know whether MDF is strong enough for this type of build? I'm based in the UK and based on a quick Google search so far, it seems that most of the plywood suppliers are based in other European countries which probably means the delivery will be more expensive than sourcing locally. Are you familiar with the EU/UK market or do you have any general advice for sourcing the materials please? I wonder whether it's more cost effective to purchase a pre-made unit instead of building from scratch? Would love to read your thoughts.
@DMaker_builds10 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for your comment! Regarding your questions, MDF should be strong enough for what you need, but it depends of course on the size of the desk and how you will integrate it in the build. About the availability of the material in the UK I really don't know the market so I can't answer your question properly. Here in Portugal it's easier to find MDF (and it's also cheaper) but you can also find plywood in this particular thickness and veneer. I hope I could help. 👍😉

@@DMaker_builds thanks for the response. Not sure why google only showed me options in eupore when there're local hardware stores like b&q that probably stock those materials.. Probably an SEO issue.

my backyard wall is not brick made, but that wall was made with concrete and natural big rocks, can you suggest how can be built a wood fence on top of the wall with some base attachment?

This method also works well in concrete. You'll just need a stronger concrete drill and bit. As long as you have a fairly straight base you should be good. 😉👍

Hey thanks for the video, I want to do something similar but was wondering, what part of the process might change if I were to build the same fence but 6 feet tall from the top of the stone wall
@DMaker_builds11 ай бұрын
That's a pretty high fence! I'm afraid these posts won't withstand strong winds. You should consider thicker posts, and some kind of reinforcement specially in the connection with the wall.

About how long would you estimate that it takes to build an entire crate? Obviously you’ll be faster than most, but a rough guess would be helpful for planning a Saturday work flow. Thanks for the video! I can’t wait to get started!
@DMaker_builds Жыл бұрын
Hi, I would say around 3 hours for the first one, and then you can batch them and maybe reduce to half the time, if you're going to build more than one. I'm assuming for these calculations that you already have dismantled the pallets. Good luck! 😉👍
