Rex, great video. Thank you. I've got Apollo AV1 with broken switch, maybe just disconnected wires inside the handle. Is there any video or written instructions how to change the red switch/ wires? Thank you :)

Hey, usually with the switches, its the spring on the trigger that goes if you don't flush out the handle housing, the spring can rust. that's an easy fix. If it is the on/off switch yes may be a loose wire but I haven't come across that one. they are usually rock solid. If you are in NZ, I can help you with either fault so reach out. If you are o/seas you will need to contact Apollo, but pull it apart and see if you can see the fault.

@@Rexii66 I am overseas and handy, willing to poke around but don't want to pull too hard and break anything. There must hidden screw or latch which holds it together. Can you point me in the right direction, please 🙏🏻?
@Rexii664 ай бұрын
There are two small screws that hold the handle together. Whip those out and you can access the switch mechanism

Hi Rex I have one and am based in Tauranga. A friend ruined all 3 blades on a recent dive. Where can I get fins from or is this something you can help with. Cheers

Hi Rex , have followed your how to previously and it went very well. This time after doing all the cleaning and putting things back together , the larger of the two O Rings will not go back into place . The small one as you say pops right in the larger seems now too small to stay in place . I can’t put the prop back on until it’s a good seal . Is the O ring no good ? Also where can I get replacement O rings ?
@Rexii66 Жыл бұрын
Hey Brett, Are you sure they are not mixed up. the larger O'ring that sits at the bottom should just fall into its groove. I don't understand how it doesn't if it came out of there, Sometimes it seems the bottom one is too big and you have to fiddle to get it to seat in, but I've not had a situation where it seems too small. As for replacements, What country are you in? PM me at [email protected] if you want and we'll get you sorted

Yelka Enterprise reminded me about Daily cleaning requirements which I should have included in the video so will pin here. After every use, you should wash the whole thing down with fresh water with attention to two absolutely vital things. Firstly hold your hose against the red trigger so that the flow runs through the handle and out the drain hole for 5-10 seconds. This rinses the triggers spring which can rust up otherwise. Secondly, it is relatively common for water to get into the fin section and its not a drama if you deal with it before storing away. If you store it with water in, you are in for a world of pain! You don't even need tools for this, just flip it on its head, lift the 2 plastic locking tabs, spin the locking ring to align the white dots & remove the fin section. If there's any water in there, Rinse and dry before reassembling. Check that the two O-rings are seated correctly. Another tip on batteries, we transport and keep our batteries separate from the scooters until use. We keep them in 8 litre mini chilli bins with a bit of polystyrene placed in the bottom. Makes life a lot easier.

I want to give you an advice.Put the oil inside the propeller case. And all the problem is gone. Because the oil protect the bearing from the water 💦
@Rexii66 Жыл бұрын
@@aminebouanani2591 yea, the bearings are a weak point if water is allowed to sit inside. We have changed out to sealed bearings in all our scooters and have had good success
