That walking bot cannot use its arms, its entire upper body is batteries. The ones using their arms and hands cannot walk. It’s all smoke and mirrors.

This is more expensive than a regular simulator for drivers test also horrible frame rates lol. unless they are training the car itself which they could just do in the vehicle. The only reason I could see this is having a "driver less" car driven by a driver sitting somewhere else which even then I don't see having too many benefits although there are some minor ones. It would still likely be more expensive to run and manage than just regular taxi service or fully autonomous

It shows the ability of the algorithm presumably trained using reinforcement learning to perform tasks but they seriously need to start engineering practical humanoid robots as the time is now. They got a lot of catching up to do after selling Boston dynamics

Nothing in this video is impressive in the slightest. It never takes a step. It doesn't show any amount of intelligence. Just a machine picking up a bag and moving it's arm. I hope there's far better demo's coming soon because if this is what you have to show, that's concerning.

But will they implement UBI before 2030!? Many pioneers including billionaires, scientists, Nobel Prize winners, engineers, architects, analysts and so on and so forth... almost all agree that we will have AGI in 2027 and ASI in 2029 and looking at and evaluating the exponential technological acceleration curve I wonder why they have not yet implemented universal basic income to anticipate the trends that will come. Just to name one, Elon Musk says that we will have AGI already in 2025 and ASI 2029.
@maximusasauluk7359Ай бұрын
You're overestimating us humans. Even if AGI technology will reach us, even if UBI is feasible, humans are too simple and not ready society-wise to adopt such fast change. We are as a species simply incapable, we can't even feed and house most of the planet effectively, much less adopt these futuristic things.
@bahlahkayyАй бұрын
If they are integrated into society very slowly, then yes, I can see it being possible. As another person said, however, humans are incapable of adapting to such revolutionary change on the fly. We also do not like being deemed an inferior species because it damages our ego, which AI and robotics is certainly capable of doing
@polla2256Ай бұрын
We are significantly limited by the power demand required to get to AGI. All those estimates are very over stated. For context Sam Altman has stated we need an energy breakthrough to get there.
