Your ribber videos are terrific! I just got one for my sk280, and most of the ribber videos on youtube are for Brother machines. Just wondering why you use P-3, instead of P-5, as manual suggests. Thanks for all you do!

Sorry, I am not ignoring anyone, it is just that I do not get to the comments here in KZbin on a daily basis. I forget what I had, but sure it was the straight stitch and maybe up to 6 in stitch length. Just in case I had to undo it.

So if I am understanding this correctly - a full scale pattern means that the pattern is literally full size, half scale means it's been reduced by half size and 1/4 is literally a 1/4 size...... if we have the schematics for a full size pattern and need to reduce them by 1/2 or 1/2 size is there an easy way to do this....? Also, for the 1/2 size pattern do you only draw half of the garment on to the sheet?

You are correct. Well on the Silver Reed contours and radars, they use half and quarter scale. I use a pantograph (I think that is the name of it). You can see me using it to make a half scale pattern for the KR6 kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZqG6o6d9iNSdock If the link doesn't go right to it, it starts at 2 minutes and 33 seconds.

Could I just cover the edge of a seam with fabric I need to unpick? And sew it folded over with zig zag? I need to widen armhole on a cheap dog sweater and I don't care about appearance, would like to not waste my $9 by having it unravel though

You sure can, that would be easier. Just use the appropriate card for it, or select the needles you want.

I have been meaning to do something like that. If you have any woven material you can pull some threads out sideways, it will be exactly the same. But you can also make a cast on rag.

Hi. I have enjoyed your lace knitting. I seem to get my yarn cought behind the posts. And it drops stitches. Would you know what lm doing wrong? I have a 580 knitting machine

I will get the yarn behind the gate pegs from time to time. I am not 100% sure, but believe the tension is loose. Lace also needs more weights then normal knitting, so try putting more weight on the work and see if that helps with both problems.

@@RobertaRoseMeads l recently changed the wool bar. And tightend the tension. I have not had a problem. I can happily say it's knitting well. Yeah. And thank you 😊

Hi! Can you, please, help me with an important question? I really need to know ASAP if a sr150 ribber (the ribber for the sk150 model) will work normally on a sk155 machine, or not ...i have a sk155 in very good conditions, but all the ribbers i've found here in Italy were in BAD conditions; now i've found a good sr150 ribber, but i don't know nothing about the compatibility ...can you help me? Sorry, no the SR150 will not work on the SK155, at least from what I have read. I never had the SK/SR150, so not 100% sure.

Sorry for the delay, hope you were able to get it unstuck. I have been away from my home here and there, so not doing much on my site. I remember once I had a stuck SK155 carriage. I had to take the sinker plate off of course, then I noticed that 1 needle was the culprit. I took needle nose pliers and wiggled that needle until it came out, then I was able to move the carriage. Come to find out, that was not a needle for the machine.

Do you mean, when you finish up 1 color yarn? What do you do? If this is it, I would suspect to cut the yarn off to the side, and when all is done, weave in the loose tails.

It would be nice if you showed what settings you're using. I know my SK155 can't do tuck in one direction anymore, but it's been so long since I used it, I don't even remember what the set up was. I'm following the manual, using punch card 1, and it's tucking fine.

if depends on the pattern you want. you do only need the sts and rows repeat to input.

Are there any differences between this carriage and the others you push manually? Besides the obvious fact that this one moves automatically and the others I’d have to move myself. Is there a reason someone would want this carriage over others? Or is it purely convenience?

Well this one as you see, is automatic, in a way. It still have to be set up somehow. But most that have the Garter Carriage, from what I have seen, use it so they can make something on one machine, and work on a different machine.

You are so welcome! You can also make a gift for any friends that have a dog. With so many dog sizes, taking measurements is something that one may have to do. The one I made this dog sweater for, well he is moving and not sure if I can catch him before he leaves for good.

Thank you for the informative video! I have a Studio Mod 700 with the LC2 and it keeps knitting only stockinette even though i have the levers on triangle. It is picking the needles but not actually moving the stitch over. Any idea why that might be?

It could be the LC may need a good cleaning or lubricating, hard to say without seeing it in person.

Glad it was helpful! when you take it off the double bed, there may be a slight openness where the beds meet, just keep pulling the material until the sts are set.
