Im sorry but Aiden was fucking rude?! Cuz knowing Carrie, you gotta know and UNDERSTAND her love and attachment to luxury. Dismissing those as mere 'things' and throwaways is dismissing and disapproving a core part of who SHE is. She isn't some good ol' traditional wife material he can just wife up? How tf do you want to marry her and not honour HER??? Feeld like he just projects an image of his ideal on to her, not actually value, and understand and accept the real person she is.

Aidan is everyone dream man, he is kind, sweet hardworking, goes out of his way for her friends and her friends love ones, and Carrie couldn’t handle a grownup relationship, she rather be treated like trash by big, cuz it was more exciting, big gestures, but big and Carrie had nothing in common, Natalie and Aidan deserved better and they got it, Carrie got ending with big, but even that wasn’t easy, first movie, he stands her up on their wedding day, second movie, he wants them to live apart, in the reboot, he dies, cuz the actor who plays big was facing sexual assault in his real life, and the new big, relationships in reboot was Miranda, Chaz, and her poor husband steve

Looking this back after more than 15 years now, I mature and I see clearly that no matter how good Aiden is …Carrie and him are type different type of person. She is snow flake, metropolitan girl that like to go out and catch every new trend of the moments. Aiden is a classic American, timeless, warm and cozy that will lay down in his 💯 brown leather coach to watch a basketball game friday night. Opposites attract each other’s as long you admired each others and together you completes each other … but it doesn’t works when you are so different that you walk on your toes to not hurt the other one , nor you need to constantly find a middle ground to accommodate your half one !

As a single 29 yr old now. I’ll forever be on Carrie’s side. Also this wasn’t the man for her. Big would never make her get rid of clothing and or mock the clothes. What he should have done is say, I’ll take the closet next door.
