I enjoy the Major Arcana in this deck, as well as the book. Fun way to learn about planets and zodiac signs. I agree, though, generally, I prefer fully illustrated decks.

The cards, including the border, are in Russian Palekh folk art style.

The backs of these cards is such a happy colour. I already have the original rws deck, but I might get this as well.. 😋

Yes, the back is lovely. :) The cards are less glossy than The Rider Tarot Deck by U.S. Games Systems, which makes them feel more like paper and less like the playing cards. While both decks are nearly identical in size, the border around the picture is wider in this Classic deck, which makes the picture itself smaller than The Rider Tarot Deck. There is also a slight colour difference, especially noticeable in cards like the 3 of Wands. I may do a side-by-side comparison of the two decks.

Just wanted to welcome you to tarot tube! We have similar tastes in decks. I often pair the cat tarot with cat gurus. :)
