Hi Ultra David. I recently made a version of your split box design. Works great so far. I'm working on the final version and but wanted to ask if you have a 30mm version of the splitbox? I'm 6'5 and the tiny buttons are just a hastle. Originally I played on working on my own version before I found your's. Figured I'd ask before I have to work on that. THANKS again for the design!

Why not use a much cheaper and robust arduino micro or similar? It would bring the cost of this down by about a 100 or so dollars and depending on the code could work with every platform. It would also allow you to have many upgrade paths for future versions (LEDs, touchpad, displays) and its much smaller form factor to boot. I would also recess that Dsub, from personal experience you lift the stick out of your lap hit the desk or chair arm and snap off the usb and ruin the port.

Really impressive design, looking forward to trying one out myself. Appreciate the share!
