Thanks so much for the great content. Quick question. We'd like to create a fundraising campaign starting on Giving Tuesday, but having trouble figuring out how to create the campaign without actually launching it right away. There don't seem to be any "Start Date" options when creating through the Nonprofit manager, only end dates, and when we click "Create," the fundraiser is published on our page. Is there a way to create the campaign and save it WITHOUT publishing it until a specific date?
@CauseSpecialist6 күн бұрын
Hello and thank you for being a valued subscriber! Unfortunately, Facebook’s platform currently doesn’t offer the ability to schedule fundraisers for future publication-any fundraiser you create will be published immediately upon completion 😔

Thanks for the info! We are a small, all-volunteer nonprofit, but are doing our best to run a professional donor program. Since adopting Givebutter as our donor & fundraising platform, we no longer use any direct links to PayPal, although PP is an option now through GB. Our donation page offers these options: credit or debit card, PayPal, Venmo, US Bank(ACH), or even a check. I'm going to look into adding Zelle (instant, not as an ACH) as well. We gently and respectfully asked our recurring monthly donors who give directly on PP to switch to GB for easier accounting and donor care. Most have switched, but several haven't, and that's okay. It's their choice. 🙂
@CauseSpecialist13 күн бұрын
I see more and more people are using Zelle these days… I just wrapped up a contract with a nonprofit that insisted on having it as an option. ☺️
@waynecmontgomery20 күн бұрын
Great information!!! I thought PayPal gave you a second option that charges a fee for quicker deposits. That is what my nonprofit has? We have Zeffy, Givebutter, and PayPal.

I’ve used both but LOVE the features Click & Pledge has! They are releasing a cool Zoom donate feature too in November ☺️
@waynecmontgomery19 күн бұрын
@@CauseSpecialist I think you need to mention they charge a monthly recurring fee. Some smaller nonprofits may not want to pay that monthly fee out of the gate. I've worked with several nonprofits who are trying to get their donors to pay those fees. As a side note after reading the fine print, this company is horrible. They are worse than Paypal, Zeffy, Givebutter, and many others

Chart of accounts: framework for all financial records. It helps you to classify every entry. COA: Breaking down every part of your business. Individual & corporate contributions. Streamline processes: peace of mind. You can't see and fix inconsistencies. Chart of Account must follow GAAP accounting consistently. For instance, office supplies. Keep it simple. Setting up how you want to classify and not changing. Admin should be covered by donations. 990 goes to public database. Simplify your COA. Merge things. You need big buckets to function.

We also have a grant training program that is $1,500 USD, where we teach you to research and write grant proposals. Let me know if either of these interests you, and we can chat further 🙂
