I love making Headbands and Scrunchies. Which I wear all the time. In order to sell on-the-spot. They are also very easy for a beginner to learn how to make and they sell very well. Just a side note: I would never advise a beginner to start a business. They won't know how to crochet what sells, well. Because they are just learning. I would advise them to learn what sells, and once they master that, then they can start their business. Other than that, I think your advice is spot on.

Hi! I used a light/DK cotton yarn with a E-3.5mm crochet hook. Depending on how thick or thin you want your bracelet to be, you could also play with a bigger or smaller yarn 😊
