Thank you!This performance was a duo by Gerald Clayton and John Clayton that was uploaded to KZbin during the coronavirus period. However, the video has been deleted now, so I can't watch it anymore 😢

Thanks for the comment, Tom. This is a great blues solo with lots of ideas, but it's very long and I'm working on it bit by bit. I'll upload the rest when it's done. You can see the full version on tenor saxophonist Charles Owens' channel. And I've been watching your channel too. First of all, great taste in song choices! Aaron goldberg's Poinciana is my very favorite take. And I was very surprised at the perfection of the transcribe. Thanks for the great job! Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator

Did Bill Evans actually played with one hand?... I don't think so. Do better, Transcription Cat!
@jazztranscrptioncat3 жыл бұрын
Hello, vova47 You're right, the transcription only carries the right hand solo line. In fact, your left hand accompanies in a Bud Powell style, and the second half of the solo is a block chord solo in a George Shearing style.

@@jazztranscrptioncatHello, my friend! Thanks for answering me - your analyses is correct but it still would be better for everybody to see actual voicings and rhythm. Hope you could do FULL transcriptions in the future. Keep up the good work!

@@vova47 Thanks for the comment. The transcriptions on this channel are basically recordings of things I've practiced myself. Some transcribe just the solo line, some transcribe the whole thing, including voicing. You will see transcriptions that include voicing in the near future. Thanks, vova47;)
