And Brown loses the match the second he comes into the ring
25:20 - 25:25 The exact moment the AWA died. The fans go from joy to throwing garbage at the ring in 5 seconds.

Bret comes across as a completely self obsessed mark here. One of the greatest in ring performers of all time, but a complete narcissist.

This is where i disagree with hogan. I knew from day one when i found out it was hogan vs rock that mania crowd was going to boo the rock. My exact words was rock is going to find out what real popularity is. For crying out loud the next night they wouldnt let the man talk after mania. Vince forgot the mania crowd grew up on hogan. Not the rock. Hogan Austin would have been better
@sowingandreaping78712 күн бұрын
Vince wanted hulk to job out. I wouldn't do it either. You got to protect your character especially now! If more wrestlers did it. They would have more longevity.

Idiots should have just paid their taxes and shut up. Yeah, it was legalized extortion by the US government, but they should have just sucked it up and preserved kayfabe. Good for Albano for doing what he could to save face for the sport, though I wouldn't even have conceded the "showmanship".

Those mats are NOT cushioned at all. Some shows have had the boards exposed when the mats were rolled back. The boards have some give, but there's no cushion in the ring. Injuries are often real, too. That's why there was so much substance abuse back in the day.

The fact that he talked about dreams when sleeping proves he was radared, and a radar victim, and fooles to be radar-cyborg. There is also a chance he was murdered. We will never know.

Wrestling at The Chase Made me a Wrestling fan I love to watch this show when I was a kid
Damn....under lined insult remarks about mick Foley. ....mick Foley in his prime...made you really think wrestling was real..........hulk however every match was the same......to be honest tho ...hulk is the biggest name / star ever in wrestling. He's the #1 recognized wrestling figure in the world....and he's not even a great wrestler, he's work in the ring was showboating, hot dogging, and showmanship. Guys like bret hart, Chris Benoit, Mr. Perfect, Rick rude, especially Kurt angle..these guys all GREAT WRESTLERS but doesn't get the accolades like hulk....😮

random comment, but imagine if the awa was able to hang around to the time of lesnar. it would have worked because awa ran a part time schedule, lesnar wouldn't have to travel much further than chicago and winnipeg as awa champion

Ventura was one of the best talkers and best heels in the history of professional wrestling. His moves weren't that great though. For that matter Hulks moves weren't great either.
