This guy has no clue what he's talking about. Scaring people into thinking shredded cheese is bad for you. Cellulose is fiber. This is true for every food product in the US. Our ingredients look different from in Europe because of company choice (dif cultures prefer different flavors) and different regulations. Our FDA requires full chemical names be listed which gives the illusion that theres something more 'artificial' about american food.

Cellulose is usually sourced from wood pulp or cotton lint, and is also known as wood pulp. It's passed through the digestive tract almost unabsorbed, and can help people feel full and curb cravings. However, consuming too much cellulose can cause side effects like gas, bloating, and stomach pain. Some companies have also been criticized for using cellulose as a cheap filler in foods that are labeled as "100%," such as grated parmesan cheese. It is in the cell walls of most plants, including sugar cane and vegetables but when used as a food additive it’s coming from wood.
@cregoryd37843 ай бұрын
Yea bro it's actually wood... I worked in a factory that made it and we basically ran huge rolls of thick paper thru grinders to make it into a powder... if you look on ingredients and you see cellulose it's basically paper.. it's in tons of stiff to not just cheese it's in all kinds of snacks and cakes and shit to
