Hey, thanks for so many great videos. I'm wondering if you know how to copy FX (or anything) between elements of a fixture? I have tried 'Shift+Copy, 1.1>6 @ 2.1>12, for example, but it just copies the whole fixture info. I am trying to expand FX which have only morphed over to half the pixels of the fixture :) Cheers!

Most of them don’t even understand how much power this 3:41 video haves . And you can put strobe below the full and 2 parts so you have so much more faders left to put your stuff in….

What I'm trying to figure out is how to record a position for a group in which I manually arranged all the heads. For example I have 6 beams on a truss and I change the position of each one individually and then record it but it only saves the position of the last beam I moved.

I use a robe led beam 100 on mode 4 but for me, the color is not showing up in the visualizer even when I press regen palettes. How can I fix this?

hi sir, how come you have color default selections in color pallet and beam pallet? when i patched my 2 Xwash37, and 1 R6 laser i dont have option in color and in beam pallets.

Hey! Not the OP but my best guess is you’re using fixtures that don’t have channel value presets. Aka the software doesn’t know which dmx value correlates to each function unless you program it in. Cheers!

Maybe an additional "nice to know" thing for Group FX: The underlying group of of a recorded Group FX can be changed: Include Cue, Programmer>View Fx>Adv View> Double Tap (or Set) on Group Name allows you to select another Group.

Yes, but it can be changed in Setup > View Settings > Windows > Units of measurement When in metric mode, putting ' (or / )after the value enters the dimension in feet. So 12' = 12 ft, 12'4 = 12 ft 4 inches

I managed to find the 'vis heads' menu and set them up through there in the end. It's for a fairly simple theatre piece, so they only expect me to learn the basics. I was hoping to learn as much as I can though. Maybe I can help out friends who are still Dj'ing and performing in future.

You can set the parameters for the visualiser under patch - edit head - params. If the fixture doesn't have a zoom attribute, just put the desired beam angle on both the narrow and wide parameters. Remember to save the updates.

In Setup > View Settings > Windows > Col Tag you can change the colour based on different settings. The one used in the video is Patch, where you then go into patch and colour tag the fixtures in the Tag column.

Depends on what you mean. Regions don't expand to other pages and you can only use the first page to turn into execute buttons.

How can I achieve, that I reduce the size of the movement only using Wheel D FX Size without reducing the dimmer simultaneously. If I reduce that fx size to 50%, the dimmer will never be full and all heads are quite dark

In the programmer in the FX view, you've got Simple and Advanced View as well as Medium View while holding SHIFT in Simple View. There you can type in the desired size for each attribute. The encoder will operate on the whole FX.

Right, but I mainly wanted to create a couple of quick examples to be able to show the feature. When doing these small tips and tricks I usually assume enough knowledge to implement the main Point/feature of the video, hence why I try to get the creation of examples done quickly.

I understand, but the purpose wasn't that the viewer should copy what I did exactly as I only created a couple of examples. I mainly wanted to show the existence of the feature. Thanks!
