I’d love to see some more pictures and videos of this combine. I have one as well that I’m going to get running this year. They are pretty rare machines.

Can you show us how to change blades and adjust the spring tensioner?

The bandsaw can have a 1 1/2 inch blade, useful for ripping and resawing. with the 30 inch wheels and ball bearing conversion, the cuts are usually easy and the blade lasts a long while.

I’ve owned a ih 46 baler but have heard the 45 is very problematic but I haven’t had any experience with the 45 so but it seems yours is a testament to international harvesters legacy

Last July, the knotters gave me some mild grief, but it was the twine knives getting dull. I have read that these MUST be kept as sharp as possible and then if the knotters are in good shape, it will only miss maybe one in 100 or slightly better. I serviced the pickup drive last fall and need yet to shim the plunger as per the service book for this year. Hoping to do 400 - 500 bales this summer. Another point with this baler is to run the tractor engine slower and that seems to work better...PTO speed is probably more like 400 - 450.
