okay i have watched 20* videos now for "beginners" and so far this is the ONLY one to teach me the fundamentals. I can absolutist see why people pay you for lessons. currently wishing I lived in Florida so i could get proper lessons but this is def working

Ummm i think you answer my question I brought the 120 uptown skates and it has the plastic plate…and I’m use to having the metal plate…do they both give the same performance?…should I switch them out…I do like how the plastic makes it more light weight

Can you do a video on skating backwards? Just a full routine of us watching you skate backwards to music and then dance moves that are your signature suggestions? I want to compare it to what I've been doing. Great content! I!!

I love roller dancing but am not musically minded. SO helpful to apply the beat count ...i can use that principle across other moves too and its a good way to gauge speed progression for dancing. Many thanks!

Thank you, can you show how this drill helps with going into pivots as one is skating

I didn't quite realize it, but I leaned into freestyle skating as an early skater. I wanted to have enough moves that I could jam and flow from one move to the next without knowing ahead of time where it was gonna go. It felt like the threshold for me was having a solid 5 moves under my belt so that I didn't feel so constrained in my choices. But then jamming to the music, learning the beat, and being confident in my physicality all came into play to bring me into the flow state.

Grew up in Orlando, Skated, Wed, Friday, Sat, and Sun, talk about loving it, I am 57 , haven't skated in like 40 years but still have my speed skates!!!! Want to start skating again, have dreamed about doing it again, every time I hear the old songs I "dry" skate in the kitchen my feet can still feel the wheels and the old jam going on!!!~~~~ I have read about all of you others that are also ready to relive our dream to... wishing you all luck too.....and Diamond...you skate just like my fist husband!!!! lol no wonder your video caught my eye...haha lol not to mention your doing a great job in your teaching...very good job....don't skip the basics, you have to learn step one good before going to step 2, or step 2 is never going to b e a smooth and sure thing!!!!!!! that is why you are so Centered. Like you have a string thru your center and your feet can move and you can balance. Just a visual....

You are so right. I won an opportunity to pick whatever new wheels i wanted. I asked a few skater's what they suggested because I already hard a hard set and a gummy set. These new wheels are changing my skate life. In only 3 sessions i have seen moves that i was struggling with start to show up. And i am super excited to watch you and some of my skate friends kill it in "Skate Jam"
