Something seems missing, since a bone-stock 150 cc GY6 factory EFI retro scooter lazily pulls off 100 Km/h (62 MPH). No rollers, no modifications, engine still on warranty break-in period. 232cc should hit 80 MPH, something a Stock 300 cc Vespa GTS does without breaking a sweat. Maybe aerodynamics? Windscreen? Less chubby rear tire?

If all goes right today I'll be hitting at 90mph on my or I might just take it easy and warm it up break it in for a few days again since we will have a dome piston in it this time. We're switching over due to it being a forged piston. It's a small dome with consideration to still being able to run pump gas going to stack some layers of gaskets. To lower the compression as to high and race fuel would have to be used which I only wish to run 93 octane which is at least more adorable than the other option!

@@ORIGINALCONCEPTGARAGE Sounds good. The higher the octane is, the harder it is to compress in the cylinder. We have a gas station out here that sells 100 octane. I could be wrong forged is better but needs more time to warm up. I always let the bike idle as much as possible after a top end. Then I do an oil change right after a few rides. Maybe write down the mileage when you put it back together.

Try iradium spark plug in the polini kit, I have been running my 70cc polini kit for over a year now, with 2,900 miles on it and still going strong. My carb' squirts a bit of fuel into my airbox. My mechanic says it's normal and all carburettor bikes and scooters do it. It will do 57 on my inaccurate speedometer, 51 mph on gps, down hill. On a flat about 45 mph on gps, 51 mph on speedo'. That's with standard variator transmission and 8 gram rollers. I am getting a racing variator clutch bell and belt, with 8 gram rollers fitted. So I might see more speed out of it in the future. They are reliable, Italian engines, Polini are and I have put Aprilia stickers on my Kymco because it's engine is Italian. Sounds like you might have an air leak in the reed valve, with the revs hanging like that or the main jet is too lean, maybe not enough oil in the mixture too. I run 32 to 1 premix, So maybe try that first and then go and have a play about with the main jet sizes. Hope she keeps running well for you. Sorry for the long comment.

I think any scooter 🛵 company could sell a ton of scooters & make $$$. If they just built a 3 wheel scooter with a removable lightweight aerodynamic weather enclosure. So you could ride in rain & cold that could safely do 75-85mph on the interstate. They could easily get 75mpgs, would be very low cost to maintain & could literally pay for itself in gas ⛽ $ savings. If used as a daily commuter. 3 saddlebags could go on the outter body so it could carry groceries....Make something like a mini Polaris Slingshot but with a weather enclosure.

could have a flooded crank case. You could try and split the bottom of it and see if fuel comes out. there should be nothing but air in there. or just pull it into a wheelie position with the carb off and see if fuel comes out. It's getting fuel from somewhere!

I'll keep that in mind it still use to not shoot fuel everywhere it does now. I changed the intake that has different ports on it but factory for super 8 plus used different set of reeds as well! I know what atomization means lol. Thinking why is so much fuel shooting everywhere onto the case! Polini CP19 Or Any Cp Carb Comes Pre Tested To Run Perfectly So Float Bowel Doesn't Make Sence Or Considering Since I Have An Untouched Intake Manifold Its Just Different Now!
@iamrycẽ2 ай бұрын
@@ORIGINALCONCEPTGARAGEthere’s a jet right where the air intake is that sprays little bits of fuel into the air mixture once the air is coming in. You can see it shooting out in the video of that smaller jet near the air intake. You need a filter or pod filter to keep that fuel inside of the carb and also so other particles don’t enter as well. This might help a lot with the issues you’re having with running rich. just my two cents 🤝🏼 hope you can get this issue figured out. Carbs are annoying lol
@iamrycẽ2 ай бұрын
also, due to my ignorance I wanted to update because I just learned it. Your jet may need to be turned clockwise so that it sprays through the carb, not away from it as well so that all the fuel directs into the carb! hope this helps.

@iamrycefn8130 the only thing is the jet has one opening straight through now the one piece has randomly placed little holes in it hmm.. I would definitely put it back in and see what happens. If the bike never did this before I would start working backwards. I would throw the old intake back on. Put the retainer back in, Make sure the float is moving freely. From what I read they said the best air screw setting was 1-1.5 turns out from closed. With the carb upside down the float should sit 16mm above the base of the carb give or take a litlle. When was the last time you changed the spark plug? Two strokes love spark plugs. For the most part it sounds pretty dang good. I was wondering if you hold the throttle does it keep blowing out?
