It is so sad to read that Hobi and RM get hateful comments or being ignored just because they are not like JK. I remember being at a festival earlier and I discovered a coffee brand with different BTS members' pictures on the bottles. The ones with JK were all gone. One or two Jimins and Vs here and there and lots of bottles with the other members pictures.This memory came to my mind right away when reading RM's words to a 'fan' ("I'm sorry that you got my photocard"). Now...regarding J-Hope's observation ('Jungkook is here. Everyone's favourite...'): based on what I read and hear, it seems that Jungkook is the most well-known and the most favourite BTS member indeed... in my surroundings... in my country... He is generally liked and perceived well by the masses. So what? We don't have full control over how other people see us. I cannot change myself substantially, my personality is the result of my genetic traits, upbringing and my childhood experiences. Some of us come accross as more likeable, whereas others don't open up so easily and are more eccentric and more difficult to understand - so people don't even bother to try. When you want to please everyone, you might end up losing yourself. So I understand that it might be painful to read mean comments sometimes...but it is important to put things into perspective. Millions of people would be in J-Hope's or RM's place. They still have millions of fans, they can find friends, girlfriend, wife... Plus it must be difficult for other kpop bands in their shadow too when they get compared to BTS all the time. I can only imagine but I still have no idea how competitive this industry is. And I understand that reading comments that you are talentless or not a big deal or ugly might really hurt. 'Talentless' makes no sense too me. We all have certain talents. Plus no matter what you do, there was, there is or there will always be someone in China who can do it better :) So comparing yourself to other people, your life and your material goods to other people's achievements is very harmful. There is sometimes this fear among famous people that they are not enough...not good enough...ordinary...mediocre...nothing special...not a big deal...not unique. BTS IS unique in the western world. And they may not have a Grammy yet but they are the most wanted performers not only in America but on the entire planet right now. They were determined. They had faith. They keep working hard. They did the right thing. They were at the right place at the right time. BTS was a breath of fresh air in our modern world. An anchor. A promise. The energy that keeps fans going and gives them a sense of belonging and community. But they must not forget one thing...to live by the principle that they promote to the fans ('Love yourself') . They deserve to have enough rest, to set up boundaries and say no, and they should not beat themselves up for the smallest mistake and take hate comments from faceless, anonymous people seriously. Whoever writes that ANY of the members is ugly, is not only insulting this member, but millions of other people as well. I mean...what is he supposed to look like? And what should other people think who are not famous, not in the magazines, not dressed in the most stylish clothes, have 5lbs extra weight and are more than 30 years old? Would this commenter call them disgusting for looking like an average person? This is crazy...
