Priceless video. Brilliant writer, performer and so much more. We scan the news headlines each day, listen to the radio reports and it's all there in this song. "Is there someone who knows what they're doing?" "And the old soldiers say in their own crusty way we've got too many troops in this room." A most poignant piece of writing.

Rare video...I hadn't seen him on stage with others performing his songs. He's thin, but you can see his forearms were still muscular and those hands, big enough to do all the marvelous guitar playing he did throughout the years.

Ya you can't find a single word from Roy Orbison video or other. It doesn't exist anymore.

Always loved this song. Gord would be pleased to see it back into circulation. This performance follows the album version. I think there is a verse missing from some of the earliest performance in the early 1970's. Hope those lyrics don't get lost to Father Time.

Great song. Music videos have come a long way since this one though, Inspiration Lady (2012) much better concept, production values, everything.

Cummings has quite the voice. He's what, 60+ here? Not tuned down and no key change. Still singing it like the original. Wow

65 approximately. He's still on tour and filling the large venues - he will be 77 on Dec.31.

Gordon was a good poet. Bless him for setting a high standardof sung berse for the rest of us. Right now hes holding court with St Robert Southwell, Sai t Cecilia, and the Bard himself, William Shakespeare.

Wait...so... was this the last song of the night? It is a good song but I don't understand why they chose a song about Alberta for the last song when they're in Toronto I think?

because the Good Brothers always do this song and there is a part that Gordon liked to sing and the audience could be part of it as well..
