Hi, I accidentally dropped M1 somewhere in the middle and trying to fix it by adding it. What the name of the incredible technique shown in the video? I need to find the right instruction of adding this specific M1.

Did you do the short rows on this project? I'm working on my first ever sweater, Flax dk. I'm at the point of deciding whether or not to do the short rows. I've never done them before and don't really know how different it would be on me. I'd dive right in but I hesitate because the yarn really sticks to itself in the worst way. It's impossible to unravel and have the stitches look uniform afterwards. I'm just curious if you did the short rows.

Roughly speaking, bc I’m stuck, are the markers nearest the heel flap on both sides? My stitches are off.

HI I am trying to find your tutorial 1-8 for this How to knit a sweater for beginners. I am getting a message that they are hidden and unavailable. I bought all of the yarn for it and am excited to start and now I can’t find it.

I I didn't think I'd manage the flax. I've knit for years but still not advanced knitter and won't ever be I reckon. Can't knit aran or fair isle. I'm in my 60s and just tackling your socks now. I've never knit down, my brain copes better with crochet. I have just discovered your channel, you knit English style and most video don't as they're all American or Canadians. So please do continue. I'm at sock knitting classes and our teacher sent us your videos. I'm crap at maths and perhaps it holds me back working out patterns. You're braver than I am x

Thank you, Tina. I have tried many, many times to knit socks but couldn't work with dpns and I'm not overfond of magic loop. Got myself a 9" circular, followed your impeccable instructions to the letter and now have a pair of socks! All thanks to you. I've subscribed and will now be reading your other tutorials. Thank you so much.🎉🎉🎉😊

Hy Tina I’m very confused as to how many rows in between buttonholes ?too many instructions that could have been easier ,You’ve really come on with your knitting since I last saw you IV actually been doing a lot of dressmaking , I did that much knitting during lockdown and I don’t feel the cold so I haven’t been waring my jumpers but I really fancy the Whitmore HELP 🙏

uggh. I have started my first pair of socks using a size # 2 -9-inch circular knitting needle and finding that it is very difficult with such a small circular needle to hold on to. My hands are not large but gripping and slipping the stitches seems to take forever! I will definitely plow thru-but this is not enjoyable at all. Is it possible for this beginner to use a larger needle and wider circular needle instead? Thank you!

This is so helpful, thank you! I have been wanting a vest forever and would love to make this one. Finding myself VERY intimidated by the pattern, though, so this was super helpful. Would you recommend this for a first Real Project? I have knitted before, but nothing beyond scarves, so I'm a little nervous

Dear Tina, I was laughing so hard I woke up the cat, now you weren’t really asking us what we thought of the colors, it was more of Tina wants us to give hope whereas there was none. I am laughing with you honestly, after all I just knit a scarf for the very cold weather we have had, I did it in 3 color bocks of Yellow, green and then purple, my color blind husband said “what are you attempting to do there” 😂😂😂 I don’t know, so I put it on and haven’t taken it off yet, 3 days now 😂😂😂

I'm busy crocheting a pair of scock while watching how to knit them. I'm mostly getting the shape worked out. I ordered knitting needles for my nest pair. I can knit some. I never knitted socks. I think I can. Crochet is my first love, but crochet is a more dence fabric and not well suited for socks because it lacks stretch. You have to be very precise with the gauge and fit for crochet. I want to learn to knit scocks because knitted fabric has more give and flexibility than crochet. I still love crochet, and maybe I can combine the two. If i can learn to knit toe up socks, i can add a crochet cuff and make it lacey. Maybe making a short knitted leg and then go back and add crochet. I dont know. I'm just going to knit the first pair and save my crochet for other items. It's good to know both skills.

Yes it's definitely an advantage to be able to knit and crochet. Happy crafting

Is each section measured by itself? If so, then per your instructions, each section if 11cm. I am confused where to measure from at the beginning. Should I measure from the bottom of the cowl or just measure from the beginning of the first section. Please clarify.

I would recommend you use a tutorial using the magic loop method which is what you will need for 30cm needles. I recommend Crazy sock lady . Good luck with your socks 😃

Tina watched your sock video never thought I would be able to knit socks and I've done loads one pair has even gone to Italy. Watching your flax video which is great but I wonder if you could help. The size I am going to knit will have sleeves that are too long, how do I shorten them without them ending up too baggy around my wrists. The video is great and I cannot wait to get started.

I do the alternated cable cast on on two regular needles. Then put the stitches on the circular needle. That way it is way more stretchy the first round. Cast on 1 extra stitch to knit the first and last stitch together when you close the first round.
